How do you determine where to place SLs specially early into the trade

(sorry boarders I have been asking this doubt too many times and too many threads though I know ST da always says fixed SL dont work; but please bear with me )

A super cyclone named "Phailin" is approaching the coast of Odisha, which was around 800 km away from the coast last evening, and now it is only 350 km away. It is reminding me off the 1999 october super cyclone when i was in standard 5.

IMD has said that it will be a severe super cyclone and will be no less than that of 1999. I could not trade today, Since morning I was in marketing grocery stuffs, emergency medicine, and other necessary stuff atleast for a weak. And unfortunately all the shops are running out of their supplies as people are rushing to pack them with sufficient stuffs. I felt the supply demand imbalance here too, and saw how the price is rising . (could not trade the rise in price though, nifty too opened with a gap )

Anyway the weekend is gonna be full of thrill. I am just hoping for a no power cut, so that I do not get disconnected from net for several days

I just looked at the IMD site for the cyclone..It is a huge one ..almost the size of whole of South India. Take care.

actually we also have an effect of this cyclone.
but we in the middle of ap (vijayawada-guntur), cyclone turn the direction to north ap & odissa.

Hope you do well. Last time I was in such a super cyclone was in 2008 when I was living in Boracay (Philippines). Will never forget how that was. First heavy wind for hours and hours where I thought the roof of my bungalow will fly away and then rain, rain, rain. The whole beach was destroyed by the higher waves, not as high as the Tsunami I experienced in Thailand, but enough high to destroy streets and all the boots. After that the whole Island had a power cut off for 7 days, so only generators produced power. Hope it will not come as bad as that for you and take care.
