Anyone?

Hi,

Thru ODIN, how to place a buy order for a share, in such a way that when it goes down to some price then the buy order should be executed.

For example L&T is trading at 1681/- I want to buy this when it goes down to 1600/-..

A step by step instruction is much appreciated(I'm just learning)

Thanks in Advance

Dear Vijay,

Thanks for responding.

As I have already mentioned that I have not done day trading before. Friend TFL has started this thread and is of great help! Yet some more queries to be clarified.

Right now, I am using ICICIDIRECT.COM trading platform which is web based and clearly not suitable for day trading. I have gone through a couple of broker's websites (i.e. Angel broking, Bonanza online) and (have) learnt that they offer both ODIN diet and web based trading platforms for trading /investing. As I don't have any practical knowledge about their facilities, I would like to know which one will suit better for both day trading and delivery based trading. As mentioned, I now do delivery based trading (like swing & position trading) based on EOD data using a free charting software that gives candle stick charts. I combine indicators with it while deciding entry and exit. Obviously, while trying my hand at day trading for the 1st time, I shall try to use real time candle stick charts. Therefore, I shall like a trading platform (either Software based or web based) that gives intraday real time candle stick chart where I can draw various indicators, pivot points etc. and take decision for entry and exit, apart from other features like good execution speed for orders, safety and low brokerage . All these are my thought out plans as of now. If I am wrong please point it out to me. May be after gaining experience, I shall have to change my techniques for day trading. What I have learnt here that ODIN diet is a software based trading platform and good for day trading. But I am not sure if it gives real time intraday candle stick charts with the facility for drawing indicators or not. That is my querry.

Am I clear this time?

Hope you, all friends, will clarify this for me. This may be very simple but I am stuck up here. I have some more queries but I shall ask once this part is clear to me.

Please don't mind for seeking guidance from you friends. Because this is the only place where I can learn.

Regards,

Raju
