Dear uncleji ,

Thats a limitation of that purticular broker. I think the min amount of buy should atleast be Rs:500. Lets try if fails, try increasing qty.

I have two fundamental questions here..

1. What is the difference between trading with NSE and trading with BSE?

2. Is NIFTY available as a tradeable share under Cash segment? I know about ETFs, but I am asking about NIFTY per se.

Dear murthyavr,

Virtually no differences. They are different entities doing the same thing and so such service level differences are there. NSE is more liquid but for small and individual trades, it doesn't matter.

You should go with NIFTY FUTURES if planning to trade NIFTY.

Hay, we can use Linux too and 128 MB of ram is enough for that. Use Windows to get you bank account emptied by some 'hacker'.

And 2 more thing you forgot -- Ensure to reinstall windows every week and update your 'antivirus' daily.

Anyway, thanks for the info.

Re: .:|Absolute Beginner Guide for Day Trading|:.

Firstly, let me thank you a million times for the effort you taking to guide us newbies like me and a quite a few lurkers here :)

Coming to one of your posts :

I will not recommend trading from tips/suggestion it will at most times only help you to empty your trading account. SO be cautions if you are going with a tips provider.
Does it also include tips from known brokering sites such as ICICIDirect for intraday trades. I am an absolute newbie and would like to understand and do intraday trading. However, I am a bit confused with all the moving day averages and charting.

My question is even if I cannot understand charting and other intraday terminologies, shouldn't I take help from sites likes ICICIDirect? In case its still a no -no how does one go about understanding charts to start day trading?
