NSE daily BhavCopy is in CSV format , then how to convert into TXT format?
so as to import into Amibroker?

Change its extension .csv to .txt is OK.

Can someone provide me the info on the first parameter of Import function in Amibroker. What does Type stands for? I am unable to find info in Help. Any help will be highly appreciated.

I am a beginner in Ami broker. Still in a learning path. I was trying to display Data Window in Ami Broker so that it can display OHLC and plotted indicator values instantly as we move cursor from one bar to another. Most of the Online Trading platforms display Data window just by pressing Ctrl+D button.

I tried to search Manual and Web site for Answer but couldn't find it. I find it difficult to read OHLC just by selecting bar and reading it from Top of chart window. I am sure there would be option to enable Data window.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

goto tools > preferences>miscellnous>tick price data tool tips.....i think this will solve your problem...

Thanks for the reply. I checked the setting which you have suggested. It is already checked and I found that I can get Data tool tips while moving cursor over the price bar. is it possible to enable data window as shown in the attached Data Window image? I have taken it from ODIN client online trading software.

I think by using Ascii import u can load the data, which should be in that format

Search in the Traderji's forum, u will get a small software to import data from PIB?ODIN to AMI,

having downloaded BSE EOD data into AmiBroker I am getting names as 512379 instead of the stock name . Anyone know how to go about fixing this ?
