Platforms , data , afls are only a small part of trading setup, most important is ur own trading plan, trade management , strategy in a probabilistic scenario. These softwares/platforms will only enhance or magnify the edge not build it for us.any way all the bset for future, trade hard and learn harder.:)

hello,
I am looking out for the time based AFl. i.e the system should work only between specified time slot. In commodity mkts, evening session are the most important ones, i want AFl which backtest my system only between 6pm-11pm. EOD all position should be squared off.

well any afl works when there are price quotes for the scrip, if no price quotes within database then how the afl would function, therefore change your session time in ur database settings, that should do the trick.make your database settings as per your requirements.
go to database settings/intraday settings / then trade timings.
while back testing also you can choose the timings etc as per your own choice.

Hi

I have a VERY STRANGE QUERY but it is very much important for all newbies as well as all the seniors & experts because it can give them an idea "before" EOD that particular stock is going to give a buy/sell signal "after" EOD.

My Query is -

Is there any way out that we can put OHLC data into/through an AFL for anyy particular scrip just before EOD (at around 3:20 PM or in case of commodities, at around 11:20 PM) so that it may give exact signals about whats coming for next day so that we may take position "before" EOD (means the same day) and benefit from the forthcoming Gap Opening.

I am asking this because I use Amibroker both for realtime and EOD and my realtime program gives realtime data backfill for max 60 days which is not sufficient to generate EOD strong signals "before" EOD due to shorter period of days. This backfill (60 days) does not show any signal (sometimes it generates signals but they are not strong enough to act upon), while "after" the EOD, the same AFL generates strong signals but in most days, the next morning the trade cannot be materialized because of Gap Opening.

Please guide if it is possible for one to put OHLC in EOD charts "before" actual EOD, i.e. near around 3:20 PM or in case of commodities, near around 11:20 PM so that we may get strong signals in our charts.

Hope to hear from all seniors & experts upon this query soon ...........

Hello Friends,

I have a question regarding charting and Trading Platform. I am using reliance money trading platform for trading and Amibroker for charting purpose where the data is imported from Real time datafeeder for intraday using 1 min backfill data. Now, the problem is, there is a price difference between the amibroker charting and my trading platform. Both of them are not at par. Is there any way to import the data from my trading platform so that amibroker chart reflects the price from the trading platform or what is the best way to resolve it. Your help in this matter would be highly appreciated

Do you import intraday data into amibroker or do you want to do this for this specific requirement only.
Can you link your intraday data provider s/w with amibroker ?
