Angel broking: Cheap brokerage and excellent service.

Hi Prakash, even if Angel's prepaid voucher is valid for 12 months, the remaining amount gets carried forwarded in the next year, upon renewal.

Here's how I compare Angel with Edelweiss & Share Khan:

1) Brokerage rates offered by Edelweiss/Share Khan is 5 ps – Intraday & 50 ps –Delivery(No negotiations possible). Whereas, at Angel, I pay 2 ps – Intraday & 20 ps – Delivery.

2) Trading terminal by Angel – Angel Odin Diet with quotes on real time basis is much faster than Share khan(Classic) & Edelweiss(Express).

3) Offline service is miserable at Share Khan & Edelweiss(Try calling their offline trading no’s during Mkt. hrs), whereas, at Angel, a separate Dealer is assigned to you & you can call him any time (during Mkt. hrs) for trading.


Moreover, Account Opening & AMC charges are levied by all broking houses to all their clients. But, you may negotiate AMC charges with Angel by talking to your relationship manager. Hence would recommend Angel for opening Trading & demat account in either of the segments. Good Luck

So do you use the Sharekhan and Motilal Oswal trading calls because it seems you opened these accounts as part of a well thought out strategy.Also I heard that they have above average success rate.

angel is like a poltician , "like before winning a election they make lots of promises and after winning they lots of execuses" similarly "angel they hide lots of hidden charges then after opening they will charge for lot of things" once u ask y this information was not shared earlier than they will say our executives did mention to you at the time of opening.

for all those people who praise angel brokerages, for them from 01st of june they will charges Rs 30 on EACH SEGEMENT,NSE AND BSE as min contract charges

THAT means unless u do min 2 lac turn over u should not be doing intraday, or min cash delivery buy of
Rs 15000, or any thing less will be paid @ .30% not .20%
hope u make profit.

I think you are the first and maybe only one to find this out. That too few days after they announced it. Good work. :thumb: Basically the rest of us find out in the contract note and few months later there will be a dozen threads on this. :rofl:

Hi!

I might be the luckiest of the lot, since I did not face any problem regarding Angel's software or its customer service. I am happy with the brokerage offered and found their customer care executive to be very efficient.

I am afraid, I do not agree with you on ANGEL software and website. It is one of the lousiest software for technical analysis. Charts are terrible. Brokerage depends upon your negotiations. They are competitive but incorrect to say "CHEAP" as others are also offering in the same range.

Their centralized customer service is bad but if you have an account and branch manager is good, then it is fine. However, never trust their verbal communication as you may be in for a surprise.

I have a trading and demat account with them for nearly 5 months. So far they have not given me their charges in writing . I have an idea of their brokerage rates based on deals but No idea of their Demat charges as so far there is no delivery based deal. I shall appreciate, if someone can let me know about their Demat charges. I would also like to know about other good brokers having competitive rates.

To avoid getting this error, You may need to install SSL certificate. Hence need to login through Angel PDA although its a time consuming phenomenonIts advisable if you convert from Angel trade to Angel Diet, as it is much faster.Cheers!

i too have a motilal account. Though i agree the charges are high but i also feel its worth it with the amount of info they provide.

-- Do they have sell today and buy tomorrow option??
-- If yes then what are the charges???

If they dont have these options then can anyone plz suggest me any broker offering these services..

Hi! Madhav, Angel does provides BTST & STBT facilities & trust me there are no additional charges for the same. However, for STBT, you need to have shares in delivery. I trust you are aware that for STBT(excluding F&O), Shares pay-in obligation is on T+3 as against T+4 for shares pay-out to concerned clearing houses. Chances of Auction couldnt be ruled out in absence of shares in delivery. Because of such criticalities, I believe no broking house provides STBT in equities. Good Luck!:thumb:
