How many day trading levels will I complete in 2012? A level is about 100 NF points.

i know when we book on 60, market then keeps running on for 200 points :)

instead of having fixed 40/60/80 points in mind maybe we can use obvious points like S/R values or next round number (today's case it was xx600).

I think, over-all it will be better to book some profits when trading intraday but with higher time frame systems that use SAR etc it is better to hold till reversal.

Also it is necessary for peace of mind to trade both swing and intra-day in combination :thumb:
I will finally get around to trying S&R once all my other tries fail :) Going by the record, that is going to happen soon :)

What I am trying today on bnf is a combination of daily range breakout and break of 30 minute bars. I would have liked to trade only 1/2 quantity on break of the 30 minute bars, but that's not possible since I am trading just 1 lot.

I also gave some thought about profit booking - i thought of trading 2 lots, and booking 1 at 50 pts, and letting the other run - but then decided just to try tightening stops after 80 points. That looked good on the charts - so trying it out.

No harm in trying out different things as long as the quantity is small and it does not bleed our account to death. :annoyed:

Infact its much better for learning to execute the trades, only imagining and back testing will never give us the true picture :thumb:
