hello frnds
i am new to future trading in fact hv not even traded yet i play only in options and equities
so can anyone ans my quiers kindly
how much margin will be needed to buy or short a nifty future
and if i had entered a bought trade at 4925 and exit a 4940 what will be my profit

Profit will of 15 points.. One lot of nifty has 50 as lot size.. So profit will be Rs.750(15*50)..

U will b required to pay off brokerage and taxes to ur broker(which varies on client to client basis)

To trade in one lot of NIFTY margin required is approx 30K

@Rajvir , in one of the earlier posts you mentioned watching dow futures instead of/ in conjunction with european markets? a) what time slab you are talking about here b) is there any better resource than bloombergs website to view the same?
