Columbus, earlier you used to post 7 months chart, why 2-3 months now ?

You are aware that in TradeTiger 7-month chart is somewhat DEFAULT.I am posting charts
from other computer where 2 or 3 months is defined in LAYOUT.I am of the opinion that by
posting 2-3 month chart ,one can correlate candles in a better way.In future I will stick to
old chart ,while posting.It hardly takes any time.

I just asked. If you feel that 2-3 months correlates better then please continue with the same.

Sir,does this BB(20,2) work with Tatamotors like equities,that too with 5,10min TF?
or is it just for futures?

Hi midas,

Bollinger Bands works well for any Equity,Future or Option.
Personally I feel that it works well for Commodities and Forex also.
Regarding timeframe, any TF from 3min to 5min is OK.
This is because on 10 min timeframe the first BB sample appears at 20*10=200 min.
That means you will lose as much as 3Hr20Min if you work on current day samples only.
To solve this problem ,we borrow samples from
previous day.

I dint understand the meaning of above.also,borrowing samples means what?Is it like looking at a trend from the previous day?

not able to backtest as my sharekhan terminal has got some issues which says-authentication system is not ready..

Hi midas,

Total 6Hr 15Min (9.15 AM to 3.30PM) is at our disposal.
Standard BOLLINGER BAND is (20,2).
Since 20 is involved in BB and 10min is TF, then the first sample appear
after 20*10=200 min.
It will take more than 50% our time.In that case we are forced to take
some samples from previous day.You can understand it better if you
follow these below charts closely.
