Watched almost all TV channels. Found 2 disturbing stories on 2 channels.
First showed a man talking about his wife trapped in Taj Mahal Hotel. He claimed that she was in touch with him on phone till after midnight early this morning.
He claimed that she had kept herself locked and was staying BELOW the bed to save herself. In last call, she appeared to have claimed that there are noices in her bathroom, and the terrorists may have enterd from there. .... No call there after. Cell phone was appearing switched off.
He contacted Airtel to get the shocking news. This phone was last used at around 4.30 a.m. and the location was near Raigad on Mumbai-Goa road, about 200 Kms south of Mumbai.
But he was still hopeful and waiting outside Taj... hoping that the terrorist might have escaped with her cell phone and she was one of the hostages alive, and would come out later. No further news on this from that channel.
Aaj Tak presented Sajan Kapoor, one of the hostages, who freed himself.
Sajan claimed that 2 ordinery college boy looking guys in their late twenties and speaking in Urdu and village type Punjabi were in his control. They consistantly were fighting and talking about the money.
They were in touch with Karachi, when the only spoke pure Urdu. One of the two asked every time, whether the money was delivered to his family. The leader of this team had escaped well before.
These two odered Sajan Kapoor to go and get some food for them, when he came to ground floor, saw the back door, got out and kept walking for a long time till he found a cab and got into it.
No one saw him - no one stopped him. Shocking....!
He feels that many terrorists might have escaped through the same route, while carrying their bags and other materials as there was no one to stop them.
This was the live interview from Aaj Tak's control room.
No other channel has even talked about the back door exit and it's likely chances of being used by the terrorists. Everyone kept the front entrance covered.
Our guys have to learn a lot. Before Princess Diana was killed, she had quietly left from the back door of the hotel. But smart reporters had covered it.
And thes guys cannot even pronounce the names properly. Naari man House..... ! There is No Naari nor a Man there. It is plain Nariman, where both 'A's are to be pronounced as 'U' in BUT.
Same is wit Maaala baaar Hills, where there is no Maala
They even don't know that the name has come from the stay of 'Malabaaries' from Kerala in that region 300 years ago.
And yet, we enjoy following US by calling it our 9/11. What we forget, is that, afer 9/11, US invaded Afganistan to capture Osama. They failed. But no such attacks thereafter.
And after the first bomb blasts on 6th Dec 1993 in Mumbai, we have seen series of different blasts on different locations of different cities.
Atleast now we can wonder, whether our Politicians have guts to invade Karachi to Catch you know who...?
Mera Bharat Mahan.
