Watching a program "DNA" on Zee news. They are showing internet speeds in India. We rate 114 in the world in internet speeds. Where broadband is concerned, in USA the minimum qualification to called "broadband" is 25Mbps, in India it is 512kbps.

In India the average speed, as per Zee news, is 2.5 Mbps. I envy those who get it. Here is my speedtest result on rcom in Surat.

i hope u remove junk files from ur pc regularly. having lot of temp/junk files affect the speed.
with reliance i always used the usb extension cable and used to hang the modem near window. believe me speed doubled upto 2 Mbps in my case.

I run ccleaner everyday before shutdown. This test was conducted on a clean boot with no other programs/websites running.

I am using wipod. Will experiment with changing the location of the wipod. Thanks.

Here local cable internet providing 6Mbps speed with 30GB data monthly Rs.1200, after 30GB speed reduced to 512kbps
