A great initiative from TCS.... Something to be applied to at home as well....

other side of the story.
food quality is so bad in these IT company food courts and there will be complains but the vendor will still continue.
In the past I personally fought for food quality problems in my ex company.
they have guaranteed business, people are forced to eat.
Some companies will close gate of the campus(if say campus has 7 gates they will close 5 gates in name of security reasons) just to discourage people from going outside and have food.

Inedible food is not wastage.

BPR,

Thanks for your perspective... Non IT guys (like me) think food in Infy, TCS, etc will be upto high standards :lol::lol: - even if not upto that of Google, Microsoft etc...

However, the message is important... 40% of food produced globally is wasted... In day, age and time when millions of people are malnourished or even die from hunger or associated diseases, it is a crime in my view.

People think twice before spending big amounts, especially investment in real estate or stock market,it will also affect business badly,

If government is really interested in blocking black money, try the big fishes which are in the lists already
I hope they do not opt for rationing on clothes, shoes, watches etc...
They do not have the net of that size which could handle Big Fish. Small net , small fish.. :D

In these times when money is so much abundantly flowing in the upper middle class then this kind of limit seems so impractical.

If any limit they should think of is to ask Mukesh Ambani to switch off 90% power of his Antilla which consumes electricity equivalent of nearly about 70,000 homes.

Since independence, our government has established 70 'commissions' of experts to get rid of black money.... Even if the intention was 50% genuine, corrupt people would be jailed and behind bars... But corruption is only increasing and every corrupt individual knows, (irrespective of evidence, or being caught red handed), nothing will happen other than a rap on the knuckles, and that they can loot the people / country and go scot free...

Two days back I had posted a link, of the Brother In Law of Goa Chief Minister (BJP CM) Dilip Malvakar, who was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting a bribe by the officials of anti-Corruption bureau. He is now reinstated back in his job - inspite of evidence in camera!!! The Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar says, that 'Law will take it's own course' Which really means, that the evidence will be destroyed, officers transferred, case postponed and weakened, and after 15-20 years when the case is decided, everyone would have forgotten about it....

So BJP/Congress and all other political parties are brother in arms... They will make the right noise, speak against corruption, and work up the social media... and sadly for us, it will be business as usual for them....
