Dear Amar,

please firstly post your trades and if you have any problem then ask to me......I will help you and will post my trades ..... don't depend on spoon feeding every time and get ready for hard work because trading is a path (road) with full of thorns....make you own strategy according to your comfort and personality but that strategy should be well back tested and with positive expectancy.

Please excuse me if you feel that my reply is preachy.

Working as Trading Assistant. Hire me !!
Again, small small trades day.. didn't trade enough, I think.

Must get over this phobia for shorting futures. Some good money in there..

Will withdraw 500 today (maybe that's the whole day's profit).
Are you using trailing SL in the bracket order? How do you exit? By hitting TSL or your target orders? I think by using TSL instead of the target orders, you can improve your performance much as these are scalps.

Has anyone tried trading in specific time of the day and stopping after that time like trading first two hours or last two hours?

Have been trying to do this but unsuccessful :annoyed:

Yes, these are scalps. For scrips in 150-300Rs. range, the order is placed with target, say 120 pts, and SL 40 pts and TSL 20 pts. (It is variable depending on the value of the scrip and lotsize). That is the problem with intraday, managing SL. You never know when it gives you a jhatka before resuming its trend.

The target at present being simply to earn something, at present I get out whenever it starts looking a bit uncomfortable, which is maybe 1 min from buying/selling the future.

I know that TSL is the right way to do it, but for that I have to be mentally ready for a 2000Rs. dip, which I am not yet ready for. For some days, let me just make some money, anything however small, and withdraw some. Then maybe I will start more technical trades.

ST da, What are these 2 DeMark patterns?

Since I am not in trade now, I will write a few lines on your post. These are to be treated as my view only and it may and need not be 100 % correct all the time.

1) When I was struggling to find trading methods, I backtested many patterns such as NR7,Inside bars,Head and Shoulders,Pin bars, and few DeMark patterns..my finding is patterns traded in isolation are not profitable as trading methods. You have to trade them with perspective of trends and where we are in those trends. I found that few patterns like H & S, Pinbars, long legged/tailed hammers, and 2 of DeMark patterns are fairly profitable...but not when traded in isolation.

2) The best is trade supports and resistances and trends on short, mediun and long term and whether they are in synchronisation or out of phase...no need to have indicators and to see 10 different things before taking a trade....no one in reality can trade with 10 different things in mind, more things means more confusion and more indecision.

3) Methods like MA crossover etc are not profitable if traded as they are but with some tweaks, they can be traded profitably. I have backtested them over 6-8 yrs data.

These are my observations based on my own backtests more than 15 years ago...but someone may find something profitable...so do your own study and then trade.
