Yes, these are scalps. For scrips in 150-300Rs. range, the order is placed with target, say 120 pts, and SL 40 pts and TSL 20 pts. (It is variable depending on the value of the scrip and lotsize). That is the problem with intraday, managing SL. You never know when it gives you a jhatka before resuming its trend.

The target at present being simply to earn something, at present I get out whenever it starts looking a bit uncomfortable, which is maybe 1 min from buying/selling the future.

I know that TSL is the right way to do it, but for that I have to be mentally ready for a 2000Rs. dip, which I am not yet ready for. For some days, let me just make some money, anything however small, and withdraw some. Then maybe I will start more technical trades.
Good approach TP, once we start to make money consistently we will get confidence after which we can fine tune our strategy or create one more strategy for different market condition :clapping:

Thanks for the encouragement, Tlahuicole and simplebuthard. I just saw the ledger. Despite not very good trades, it seems that, from a gross profit of Rs. 1000, I have made Rs. 570 :) Withdrawal of Rs. 500 means addition of Rs. 70 to my trading account :D

Has anyone tried trading in specific time of the day and stopping after that time like trading first two hours or last two hours?

Have been trying to do this but unsuccessful :annoyed:
A friend of mine had devised method based on gann concept. He wud divide d day into 3 part nd trade them diff. It did work for some times..on some script but didnt really hv good edge nd worked mostly when day was trending. I guess he dsnt trde this method nymore.

Where is smart_trade? you still positive on nifty. Did u add any positions later in the day?
Thanx in advance.
Nifty short term trend has changed to down...but the medium term trend is up...so intraday we have to trade from short side. But in my swing portfolio I have bought near 8400 ...my stop for swing trade is 8350.

ST da, What are these 2 DeMark patterns?
DeMark patterns which I find very reliable on all timeframes are 1) TD Point Reversal 2) TD Double TD Point. I have described these patterns with chart in my " Ideas on day/swing trades" thread.
