The following methods work well in sideways markets :

1) Sideways market moves in upper and lower boundries , so sell near upper boundry, buy near lower boundry.

2) Any oscillator overbought/oversold areas. You may consider Stochastics, RSI etc

3) VWAP bands ( sell in resistance bands and buy in support bands).

4) TDST supports and resistances.

st da , thanks for reply , u are always there when we need some advice and help ....

sir is there any mechanical system is designed around tdst ?

also sir , is system type " bought on oversold and sell on overbought " works in long run ?

i have read pratap sir vwap theory and ur points to trade it and also practice it nearly three months , but sir how we convert it in a mechanical way ?

a1b1 bhai : Do you have any AFL that you use for ww or just draw manually ? Manually gets missed I guess. I have an AFL but that is of no use.
And that spike gave a good profit to me, as I was short, as per my analysis posted yesterday. Though couldnt make full use of this spike, but gave good profit. (there was a -ww with target 6045 at open, though it gave result a bit late and another one with target 6065 just before this spike)

TDST AFL which I am using is given below :

Manishchan told that his stop loss was not triggered and you have been filled with your exit, so why was his stop loss not triggered and your exit was triggered? What do I miss? Have you been filled some where in this spike or was it on an other candle?
It was a manual fill for exit, during spike.

Pratap has written a TDST code which plots TDST lines on multiple timeframes in a single chart. I suggest that people can practice with TDST plotted by above AFL....once they master it then I will share multi timeframe TDST AFL.
For this AFL thanks to Pratap...my AFL coding expertise is big ZERO.

Will look forward to it ... :thumb:

EDIT:

But, ST bhai, how will you know if I or others who are interested have been able to master it ? :)

Seems Charts post karna padega with TDST interpretation.

I like the way you are going about it ... Cheers .. :thumb:

I am not a big follower of totally mechanical trading systems mainly because I have not found a fully mechanical system with low drawdowns, small stoplosses and high Reward to Risk ratio which I must have in all methods I trade. I always found that totally mechanical systems give mediocre results. But there are many who make a great success by trading totally mechanical systems and I admire them .No wish to start a debate of mechanical Vs discretionary .....:D

Edit : This charts posting is not for you nirav, as you know TD Sequential well....
