Never mind. I quickly went to the archive in your blog. Some nice and really interesting articles. :thumb: I specially love the title of this one: Life is like an options contract: http://markets.sengukoi.com/archives/2013/05/02/life-is-like-an-options-contract/
Glad you liked it.

Not seen a chart from you in a long time.. anything interesting? apart from the boring upmoves
This is just the beginning of this boring move.

Elections in India are known to produce circuit days so plenty of action to come. Just have to be patient. :D

The direction could be anyone guess.

Since the QE is in place for atleast 6 months and this chart beautifully illustrates that each time QE ends there is a crash in US stocks (which follows through to India).

Look at the grey portion which indicate ending of QE1 & 2.

Last year I wanted to know of some liquid options on NSE and did some research.

I posted an article on my blog here, it may be of some use to you. But note that it is around a year old. So some things may have changed.
Thanks, Arcus for the post and your blog. Quite informative and interesting

It looks that, though the post is one year old, nothing has changed in the categorization criteria of stock options

You expect big delta moves on Nifty this series. Just out of money nifty is around 203 Rs. Its good bet if it moves big. From pure price percpective if you ask me it is 10 points or 500 Rs expensive for 1 lot. I would have liked it around 190.

As long as you understand the risks, there is nothing wrong in taking on a trade.

Infact, I myself did a long straddle last year which I posted here

I dont intend to take a Infy trade this time as there are good long opportunities in Nifty.

From your above statement its clear that you really don't know much about options, do you?

Why don't you read & learn about it and I will answer you after that.

You can start with this book:thumb:

Unless a SL is hit, I hold positions for a few weeks or more.

You could call that long term swing trading or short term position trading.

I don't do day trading.
@Arcus

As you are a pure option trader (according to your post in Escapes thread) and you hold your positions for a few weeks and more, I guess you are a time decay player? If not, what are your favorite long option strategies if any or do you play only the directional game on the long side (up and down)?
