Hello Friends ,

Sharing my experience of Emotional Games that my mind is playing with me and hindering my way of trading .

Last Thursday on day of expiry totally lost control on my emotions while trading, when two SL hit consecutively.Did overtrading took 5 trades forgetting all MM and my system rules,It was like i was totally controlled by candles --->Long --->short ---> long --->short without any edge and booking good losses in each trade.

I reviewed my self and found what went wrong with me ,Now my mind is playing new game and i m hesitating to trigger my trade ..and when trade hits my target i end up regretting and frustrated .

This is on for two consecutive days and i m flowing with emotions ,totally disappointed now:(:(:(:(.

I m sure most of you at same stage of your career must have faced such condition.

Please advice what is the right step to control such Mind Games.

Dear amandeep86!!!

Sorry to here that you lost some good amount in trading...

In order to avoid " revenge trading" ". every morning i read my psychological rules which are from my trading notes

1. You are a trader not a bull or bear.

2. You are a trader not a fortune teller or predictor.

3. You are a trader kill your ego other wise it will kill you.

4. You are a trader act on market reaction not on other person reaction.

5. You are a trader respect your trading rules.

6. You are a trader don't trade with bias.

I read this rules every day in the morning at 8.45Am then i will start my trading terminal

Note: I repeated this word "you are a trader" so that it remains in my mind and heart

In the DJ at the moment you have to be a bearull. Just a little add to XRAYs post.

Edit: After that period after one and a half hour seems to be over, the bear in us is now asked. :D And here I love to be a bear until the bull is asked again.

sudoku, if you do not mind, please use full words instead of this sms slang, it would be easier to read. :thumb:

Brent Crude at $100 a barrel is a good news for India and our fiscal deficit. Bullish for the market.

Yes Sudoku, agreed, but I have a deeper thought in that. As a trader starts afresh, he is struggling for keeping his head above water, being a breakeven trader and slowly gets into profitable traders group. But still he is in money, income and returns mode and how long he should continue in this orbit ? He has to move to wealth creation orbit and such strong trends in bull or bear markets give him a great opportunity for generating wealth and being totally financially independent with all financial goals provided for.We are in one such phase of the market and I want new traders to recognise that and use this phase for going to the next level of financial wellbeing.

Such phases can be a big push to trader's career but if risk control is overlooked, these phases are notorius for destroying all financial dreams too...

Does this imply that market is dancing to his tune :clapping:

It means that he is drumming the rhythm in economy and good governance while the market is responding with the "Indian Rope Trick"
