down baad me aaya re. Till that it was ding-dong and oscillators moving up etc. etc.. At least I am getting out with small loss, planned exit. That's the consolation prize...

you don't play short side?....because where you must have exited must be down signal and if PE was bought then there was 200pts down from there in a clear trend in SD channel

was thinking of carrying 1 lot BN 11000PE , but decided against it as as theta was -12 :lol:

I only look into delta and theta in options calculator in NOW

may be 11000 / 11500 combo or 6000/6300 combo , but vix drop is headache

should not by problem for just 1 day overnight... would be a problem over this weekend

a rule of thumb - the decay of premium (non-intrinsic) portion is about 1/3rd for 1/2 the period remaining all other things like price, vix etc remaining same


so with 9 days remaining as of yday.....it would shed 1/3rd in 4.5 days, so 1/3rd of 1/3rd in 2.25 (say 2) days and so 1/3rd of 1/3rd of 1/3rd in 1 day

so 1/27th of the premium would have been lost in one day

This is what I use to do a quick calc....but I usually deal with ITM....not studied OTM
