The rupee is the common name for the currencies of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Mauritius, Seychelles, Maldives, Indonesia (as the rupiah)

When we claim brokerage as an expanse from our trading profit
Then any BR will be added to trading profit

I understand that you are asking this query for IT point of view.

So, irrespective of the facts/conditions that Zerodha takes into account for BR, the profit will be

1. 2K
2. 10K

my query was not from IT point of view , it was just for my trading journal.

This happens 1st week of every quarter... not sure about the date. The economic calenders still not there..

For journal purpose, I will keep the extra income in miscell. Why.. because these money are not earned from trading so when you are reviewing your monthly/quarterly accounts.. this will give wrong picture of PnL.

The loss of 4k (if from trading) must be accounted as trading loss. The 6K you got from Zerodha, just put that in extra column as miscell P/L. This way when you are looking at the monthly profits lets say 6 monhts from now.. you would know that the month was 4K loss and not 2K gain (-4+6).

This is how I do it...there may be other ways..

Changed to 1st Tuesday of every even month under new governor. So next 1st Tuesday of August
