not much movement in banknifty. seems like option writers will see profits huge today. banknifty likely to move between 24900 to 25100.

I suspected the same. In case BNF had a sharp downmove to 24800/24850 then possibility of bounceback would be high. Now it looks like option writers day. Range maybe 24900 -25000, with expiry at 24950

Update: Bulls may not give up so easily so might push up to 25050 with expiry possibility also at 25,000.

VIX has crossed 17 level. In case of Nifty Dec expiry, both PUTS and CALLS are rising, same with next 2 weeks BANKNIFTY options.
Looks like planning already in place for poll results on 18th

while Nifty 10400 CE moved from 60 to 69
Banknifty 25000 CE weekly moved from 30 to 90.

what gave you the upper range as 25100 ?

Kotakbank, Hdfcbank both heavyweights in banknifty were volatile since couple of days. Hence I derived from that when banknifty moves from bottom to top, short covering would pull up to minimum of 25100 range.

Banknifty 25000 CE weekly moved from 30 to 90.

25000 ce now trading at 145

Believe it or not, I did not expect an upmove above 25K...
From 12.40 PM (Rs 30) to 2.40 PM (Rs 150) .. just watching..
.. 2 hrs but big gains could ave been made.
