what do you think about banknifty. Banks are seriously very week. Is there something we are missing ?

You can factor this observation for future trading. Banks in the USA are not reporting healthy numbers. The latest is Wells Fargo.
But in India some weak banks are also reporting improved numbers. Eg: Lakshmi Vilas Bank. Maybe this is an aberration.

I think we are in a trading range and there are profit opportunities at the boundries of the range. Banks will show weakness till we have some clarity on how many become NPAs from the current moratorium. But I dont think banks are weak...if we escape with managable NPAs banks will be the front runners...

Example : Last few days HDFC Bank,Bajaj Finance are moving in a range...so Bajaj Finance buying near Rs 3100-3110 and selling near /above 3250-70 is proving to be good trade.......

Many are expecting a deep correction but in my view that wont come as long as Central Banks all over the world are pouring money in their respective economies........we may get a few shallow corrections at best.....
