He has been there in more days than it deserves, with his masterstroke strategies.I think he is gone out of the market by now.

i dont get this he call himself a day trader .First i want to know whic brokerage firm he uses that gives him 250 times to play of what he has as security. Most i have seen is 6 times you equity and that is only for intraday.unless you are going to some broker firm which runs (daba System)

Though I agree that we need to use our eyes and ears wisely, why wouldnt anyone read economic times? I still think it is a good paper to read. Did I miss anything about this brown paper?

This is one beautiful thread to know about the artifacts of a day trader, and the rules specified by seniors are important n useful by any standard.

:)

You have a valid point,a point which was cleared by my teacher in my first class with him.
CLOSE YOUR EYES TO WHAT THE WORLD IS REVEALING,BE DEAF TO THE TV CHANNELS AND STOP READING ECONOMIC TIMES.STICK ONLY TO THE SYSTEM WHICH YOU HAVE DEVELOPED.
Ofcourse do the readings of dailies and watching tv,but after ur daytrading job is done, not in the market hours.
If you want to survive as a daytrader,as the title of the thread is indicating, then you must stop thinking about what other people, which includes any other layman to expert analyst and experienced traders, are saying.
Daytrading is a business and it should be learnt with great care and time in hand.

To avoid being in two minds, whether to follow the system, which is giving a short signal,or to follow the reporter, who is saying money is coming to the markets from the BIIs,and Finance minister has recovered from a digestive problem, the Chetan Tata has flown a Belloon.......
It's a very good news paper. But not a trading guide.
By the way I didn't suggest to stop reading newspaper and tv channels.Just a timing change was recommended.....

Reporter is a human being, and usually not an expert with sharetrading!
I see your vision, and now i see through one clear mind!

Cheers

If the reporter is an expert, then also one shouldn't read his comments or ne other traders' or analysts' or channels' views during and before market hours,if the trader is not very experienced with trading. This is Trading psychology....

reporters r paid for reporting while traders have to earn.....so a trader will always have a gun on his forehead while a reporter will always carry a gun (pen)in his fist......:D
