I finished item 3 listed in my earlier post. But stuck with 4th as I need to draw a generic algorithm to recognise files downloaded from other sources or to other folder. Also got busy with some work.
Limit of 50-60 files is also being sorted out.

Another important request was to insert data in proper places if not downloaded in sequence. On this I am just thinking what to do as I don't want to use database for this purpose. So I have to work out sorting function little more efficiently else running all this will slow down the programme.


Hopefully a better version will come out.

I developed an application (for my personal use), that can download EOD quotes (Bhavcopy) for Equities and F&O from NSE website (www.nseindia.com) and store them in CSV format as well as automatically import into AmiBroker.

The following are the features of the application(s) :
1. Select custom date range since 01-Jan-1995 to today.
2. Use Yahoo! format or NSE format. Allows compatibility with AmiQuote / Yahoo! quotes downloader. Yahoo! format uses first 9 characters followed by ".NS".
3. Automatically import downloaded quotes into AmiBroker.
4. Automatically adds new scrips / symbols to AmiBroker database from the downloaded quotes.
5. Cleanup old non-traded scrips (configurable e.g. 30 days old)
6. Automatically create WatchLists in AmiBroker based on CNX Indices, Industries and F&O scrips by downloading relevant information from NSE website.
7. Future development in progress.

I look forward to share these applications with members of this board if there is a demand for it.

Well I have not tried it on Vista so can't comment authoritatively.

For upgrade it has to be rewritten in Visual Basic Dot Net(visual Studio- latest version) which I don't have.

hi pankaj... i am using ur utility for downloading data frm last 10 mnths.... frm today i am facing Peculier problem..

the problem is Thought I am connected to internet connection... when hit " download" bottom it shows me message tht I am not connected to internet.

why so? and Why now after 10 mnths?

plz help me out..

No such problem here...Using for the last 5 months!
