Hi DJ

I will reply to all three of your posts in one

1. Create a folder DATA\NSE\Equities\Delivery
Delivery data will be stored there.
2. This will solve Path not found error.

3.The error is due to the fact that data was not stored in Delivery Folder ( as none was there) This could also happen if you have downloaded EOD for 02-06-2008 , which happens to be first file in EOD folder , the program will search for corresponding Delivery file in Delivery folder. If not found this message will come. As indicated in message you click on the Menu above

Options>>StockFunctions>>DownloadDeliveryData for NSE . This will download all missing delivery data.

If you convert now, it should be alright.

This is all assuming if you want delivery data and included fields such as deliveryVolume and deliverPercent in conversion output file.Else you can safely ignore message and continue.

Regarding your request for BSe indices, It is already there in BSE EOD Daily data( second option for BSE download)

But I am including it as separately downloaded function. Just minor details which I will work out on this weekend, mainly adding delivery volumes for indices.

As for MCX and NCDEX I would like you to again go to
Options>>Delete Keys and then try Downloading again.

If it fails please upload your Error.log file from BIN folder to find out little more.

Hi Pankaj,

Just one small question. Would it be possible to view & modify the constituent stocks for an Index? And would the Index volume be calcuated on the basis of this modified list of constituent stocks? (In other words the volume fig. for the Index changes in accordance with the constituent stock list entered. This would allow me to get the correct volume values for past Index data).

However, if the stock list is internal (not user accessible) no need for a paradigm change at this stage. Finish with the other fixes first.

I also didn't like the idea of 1yr data being downloaded even if the From-To period entered is less than a year. Perhaps this can be changed.

Kalyan.

Hi kalyan
i think that changing Indices list will take some thinking for me. List is internally maintained as Master database, though it will be accessible to user by going though ODBC, but then only users knowing programming part may be able to it.

I will keep this as request and work out something later.

As for one year data being downloaded, that is not my doing. It is BSE website which gives data for one year or more. However as they use compression technique, so size is rather less to be of much concern. The only thing which I have done is to take data as given in from to date field so as to avoid repeated data access to tables.

Ok Pankaj. I can try something on my own. If it's an mdb database can be done thru Access, else VB.

Please carry on with your good work.

Kalyan.
