First install using either of the links given first. then overwrite exe with the link given in second.

As of now MCX is not yet working as is likely to take some time. So i am giving this setup files on demand b members.

Its free as ever and usual dislaimer stated at the begining of this thread.

I don't know if it works on vista. windows have terminated support for VB6 so it is likely to fade out . next version will be mostly probably on visual studio 2008 which needs dot net framework. I am thinking of version 3.5 at least.

Second thing is any change in URL by NSE or BSE will affect this and all similar downloaders and needs constant monitoring which may not be possible always.

Hi

MCX is an issue as of now since it has shifted to asp.net session management system with validation. On browser it works bu in downloader still validation issues are present. It can be made to download current data only but I am working on historical data which is taking time.

Note

MCX downloading was broken because of several changes in the way MCX validates web page visit and generates files.There was one change in csv file.It has seperated Historical records and last one year data in seperate folder and generates files on the fly. So some more changes are required.

meanwhile users can download current data. data structure is maitained in the same way.

So just download the zip file and extract it to your application folder and replace the old exe file.

tested on XP and expected to work on Win 98.

Vista is not tested but it should work in compatibility mode.

Windows 7 is out now only so can't say.

Brief functionalities reference for new members, if they use it.



1. EOD data of NSE,BSE,MCX and NCDEX
2.Record order can be changed.
3. Standard pattern for metaStock and AMIBroker.
4. FIBO Trader also accepts data
5. DDE link for AMIBroker
6.Indices data download and integrated with main EOD files
7.Volumes and Openinterest , both for Scrip symbols and indices( some variation may be there0
8.Futures and Options EOD data download.
9.intraday data download at the end of day
10.Automatically downloads PR.zip file and updates data base so that Book Closures, Notices, ex date etc becomes available
11.downloads forex data for Rs/Dollar
12. ADR is generated and placed in database. Can be seen from Stock information page.
13. Calculates Supports and resistance values
14.Gives at a glance summary of selected scrips including High and low and yearly high and yearly low
15.You can visit website of exchanges without opening browser seperately
16. You can see company details, financial data etc from easy to use interface.
17. You can update any changes in indices, name change of scrip or change in name of company etc.
18. you can maintain your watch list and see your webcharts from NSE/BSE
19. You can verify if there is possibility of bonus or stock split and likely ratio.Report is generated in seperate folder named BONUS
20. Delivery data is downloaded
21.FII and DII data is downloaded.
22. You can visit favourite threads(evergreen ones) of traderji.com and few important websites without quitiing the programme.you can add your own favourites.

nice to hear from you.I am so glad.

There is a mjor contribution from you in making of this EODDlc.
I can see that your help is readily available for anyone who develops some software.That is a great help.

this is left last where all functions were tested and found working as per specification and feedback by members.

thereafter, no major changes could be done due to paucity of time.

The reason for posting updated version was changes in exchanges which necessitated some modification to make those functions work again.

Data out put is in standard format by default.

Dear Pankaj,

Above abstracts and an earlier post by you wherein you said that due to paucity of time, you are not able to make changes to the programme needed on account of changes made at the source.

Time is a constraint for anybody, but it IS more so for you....

To continue to make a freeware current, following inputs are required.

1) To Add maintainance releases like this.

2) To add features requested by many users, where possible.

3) To support users by answering querries. Here users may understand that they have to put in some technical effort from their side, before shooting a question.

4) Periodically such responses may be compiled into an FAQ and made available for use.

While 1) & 2) can be done by the developer alone, other users with a software orientation may contribute on 3) & 4).

I Hope that you do not mind this suggestion from my side and that some advanced users may come forward on 3) & 4).

I couldn't agree more with your ideas.
I get email when someone posts in this thread so I could answer material queries and keep me informed if there is some download issues.

I will try for 1 and 2. For rest it is up to users. and there feedback is vital not only to improve it but to encourage further efforts.Things not wanted by anyone gets into oblivion.
