EOD Download/ Convert from NSE and BSE

Thats because NSE has starting delivering bhavcopies in ZIP packs from Dec 1 2009 and most programmers have not updated their softwares.

EODDlc does have a button to download PRZIP.
what is utility for this?

Dear Pankaj,

1) File downloaded from the sourceforge doesnt contains unzip32.dll and when I tried with other such files also causing error.

2) From 01-Dec-2009 NSE too have started bhavcopy by Zip. Can you please assist as usual

Lates version addresses the issue that from 1.12.2009 NSE provides datafile in zipped format.

Procedure to update is simple. just unzip the file and overwrite old exe in your programme folder with current one. Version number will change from 2.2.29 to 2.2.35.

You can download missing historical EOD for Cash and FNO and old files will remain as it is.

Please check if any other function is affected, though I think it is not.

Click on Download from Menubar on the top. Then tick NSE check box and NSEIndices in the next box. Set the dates for which you want to download indices. It will Download nse indices (except the most recent ones) to
\DATA\NSE\Indices folder and update indices file for each indices. IndiaVix can be downloaded by clicking on volatality Index check box.

Dear Jhaji,
I have updated your latest version 2.2.32.
While downloading the NSE EOD data the following reply is coming.
"Incompatible DLL version is discovered! The UNZIP DLL requires a version structure of length 1240612, but the VB frontend expects the DLL to need 68 bytes." The programme can not continue.

i did exactly whats written here but in it downloader is not opening though converter is opening its giving -
"runtime error '339': comonent 'MSWINSCK.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered : a file is missing or invalid"

Second Method( if you don't want to download again.)

Alternatively you can download missing winsock file with following procedure.


Download missing file from
http://www.ascentive.com/support/new/images/lib/MSWINSCK.OCX

Copy it to \windows\system32

Then click on Run command from Start button and type the following command

regsvr32 \windows\system32\MSWINSCK.OCX

click ok
That will solve this issue.

Explanatory Note: Since I was trying to rewrite some functions when NSE started using zip files I updated without removing reference to new files some of which may not be available on few systems if updated setup is not give. In version 2.2.35 I have removed the references so this issue will not come. There is no change in functionality and it remains same as 2.2.32. so thos who don't get any error need not worry about 2.2.35.
