EOD Download/ Convert from NSE and BSE

download this file and put it in DATA folder along with access database file

This error is caused by missing workgroup file which carries access previleges for eoddlc.mdb file.

It seems very awkward to me to disturb you on every step of installation but i tried to figure it out myself by studying various posts in this thread only but could not get the solution as i am not an IT expert.

Please tell me where is this DATA folder along with access database file located (please forgive me if this is a stupid question)

looks like you have not downloaded setup file.

just run setup file then copy version 2.2.35 to program folder

by ur gr8 help & reading some of ur last posted threads, i finally abled to download the data.:clapping: i am really thankful for ur invaluable contribution.
Its a really amazing application.
one last thing (...perhaps), for updating NSe equity data in metastock, one needs to convert the downloaded files by converter. how to select a single file in converter??

thanks for nice words. Converting only one file never crossed my mind. In fact once bulk download and conversion was over then it becomes a daily routine, i.e. daily only one file would remain.However I would see that option to select one or more file is added.

One more thing , from screenshot I see that some files are still there with prefix cm11DEC2009bhav.csv Delete all such files as they may cause trouble. I will post update for both.

Hi Sachin and others using EODdlc

This patch is meant to address your request to select one or more files during conversion.

Check box to select all files or uncheck it to select none.
Left click on any file to select it for conversion.
Shift+Left Click to select multiple files.
Right Click to select multiple files and get context meny for clicked file.
If you experiment it you will notice the difference in behaviour for selections.

Keep Database unchecked for conversion else it will not use files for conversion and clicks on filelist will be of no use.

All patch files are in the download folder so if you face any issue you can take previous version and overwrite exe file by unzipping previous version in programme folder. No New setup is required for patch.

i have a small problem.
i am able to bulk/ single download EOD data for NSE & BSE. am able to convert it and import it also. all this thanks to you.
but in earlier versions i was able to download NSE indices data in flash.
Now the program starts and then hangs on me.
further earlier it was possible to change the porfolio of stocks now it is not. (this i tried to see if i can download only Nifty data)
can you please guide me.

Looks like they might have changed Indices download URLs. Will troubleshoot this weekend and post patch.

Hi ragh

This one in bold is troubleshooted. Updater provided only for BSE watchlist editing so NSEwatchlist was not updating.Made changes, actually just a minor one.Will post patch .

Checking if any other issues can be sorted out now.

As for indices, now nse is using two different sets of URL, with older one still functioning. May be sometimes old urls give server problem. Though my downloads were fine.

as regards the indices not downloading, it works perfectly at my home computer (wherein i just started the new eod downloader without the extra registry file suggested by u) but in office PC i have used extra registry file . maybe that is reason.
