Dear Karthi

... I have one sugestion that kindly start a seperate thread so that we need not flip many posts. I have made PDF for the material from what ever u have posted till now I will uplad on my 4 shared once u have completed the discussion
Can understand your consternation Rajiv. Happened to me too when i first got into this thread when it already had some 40+ pages of posts and had to wade through to understand what was going on!

However you can make use of the Search feature to get at the posts of your interest. Use

For Keywords : MACD
For Username : Karthikmarar (Select 'Find Posts by user')
For Find Posts from : A month ago (or whatever time span depending on when 1st post on subject was made)
For show results as: Select 'posts'
For other options : let defaults remain

And as for that pdf - great idea; will benefit all.

Regards,
Kalyan.

P.S. : You can save your Search preferences so that you don't have to re-enter all the above everytime you want to make a search.

Hi Karthik,

Troubling you again :)

I remember having come across a post of yours where you had made a mention of Fisher Transformation (or was it Inverse Fisher transformation? Since, if i recall correctly, you had mentioned using it on Stochastic, it was probably the latter).

I have in the last few days come across some very interesting stuff on FT & IFT (An IFT on the RSI produces a smoothness that one might be tempted to call ... err ... umm ...Sexy!) ;)

Since you already seem to have made some observations/experiments on FT/IFT could you - at your leisure - post on your experiences with it?

The valuable opinions/observations of Anant and all other friends are also invited.

Regards,
Kalyan.

Hi Rajeev,

Thanks a lot for posting the PDF file. I know the difficluty of searching for posts. In fact in the begining I used to keep a log of Saint's and Amitbe's good posts and later on that too became tough as they were too many good posts.. :)

So I was making a word file with all the posts in parallel to my posts which I was planning to post in the end. Thanks a ton for your efforts..

Unfortunately my work is keeping me too busy and that is why the delay in continuing the MACD posts. Hope to catch up soon. We have a long way to go... weekly MACD, mutliple time frames etc.. Do bear with me...but eventually I hope it will be good learning experience...

warm regards

Karthik

There seem to be more amibroker users than metastock users here...
Yes, Oxy. there seems to be more AB users here. And most I am sure are Metastock Converts ....including me.. :)

I do have a request. Since you are a MS expert would it be possible to put the MACD stuff i have been discussing here on Metastock? It would help many , I am sure.

Looking forward

regards

Hi Kurian

No, you dont have to do it for each stock. It is automatically done for the whole set of stocks in one shot. I presume that you are tracking BSE stocks as you mentioned 4000 stocks. My thread deals with NSE stocks only. Our friend Vvontru had made elaborate posts on setting up the Amibroker sectors and Industries for BSE. Here is the Link

Thanks karthik for your thoughts and (some more) info.

And you Karthik are the true leader. All the ideas that's on this thread today originated from you. And you've kept it going with your knowledge, your patience, your congeniality (I may eventually manage to imbibe some of Ananth's qualities, but never yours - it's not in my grain).
Kalyan.

Ahhh, Kalyan, My friend you sure are a kind man. I am pink alloverThanks for those Kind words

Yes , Kalyan, I have been doing some work on the inverse Transform of Stochastic. Interesting stuff, really. In fact all John Ehlers stuff is interesting tough quite complicated. Recently got hold of his book ..Rocket science for Traders. But unfortunately my work is keeping me away from all these interesting stuff.

I was trying out a Trading system based IFT of stochastic with two time frames.. seems promising as a confirmatory Indicator. Will post the details a little later need to put in a lot of explanation without which it will as interesting as the live parliamentary session on DD.. :D

Karthik
