Well,

Sometime peoples say anything in stress. The best ever is AB
No, i do not say that in stress.

Let me tell you why i think Amibroker is the worst charting application.

So far i have tried installing the application twice, and every time i installed it. I couldn't find a way to get nse EOD into it. User interface is not very friendly and charts don't look clean and clear to do any proper analysis. Even getting a simple chart with candlestick was difficult and i have tried and tested all charting application available.

Chartnexus and ninjatrader are the some of the best out there. They are

1.easy to import nse data , with a click of a button.
2. Charts look very clean and clear. NT charts look very professional grade.
3. Easy to navigate the UI.

Overall chartnexus and NT are simple , easy and free to use.

Amibroker has not been able to do the above 3 points at all, and it's not free.

I m not saying Amibroker is bad for everyone. It's just not a very friendly and professional quality charting application. If you find it easy to use, good for you.

Again, i m no expert and i do not want to push my views on anyone. Everyone has their choice and they should be happy with it.

Okay,

Have you ever tried HELP in AB?
Importing data (EOD) is like butter. Go to FILE>import wizard select file n chosse columes name it say eod n u done. next time u not need even wizard. It will import, though it can not start it self n update data till now:)

Take my word give it some time. There are also third party tools to dnload n push data into AMI auto.

Please add my messanger ID johnnypareek at yahoo.com. I can show you and hope to change your mind.

Wow, I have just tested Chartnexus. And what can I say. It's an even bigger joke than Ninjatrader, by far. Wow, that has to be one of the most awful applications I have ever installed on my PC. Geez, what was that? A horror movie? Awful. Well, it seems to be for free and I hope it stays like that because it would not have to offer any fair price other than $1 at maximum.

I tried using AB again for the third time.

1. I was able to get some charts going this time.
2. Still unable to adjust the chart properties as i like it .e.g change candlestick colors, size ..etc.
3. Still not free.

Again , as johnny pareek suggest. I have tried to use the charting app, but the charts still look pale in comparison to other charting application.

NT and chartnexus are simple and easier to use than AB.

sorry guys , but you people are not giving good enough reasons as to why AB is better. I think it overpriced piece of crap. They could have made it better , if they kept the users in mind. Unfortunately , the charts don't look good , difficult to navigate and configure as you like and it's STILL not free.

NT is powerful , easy to use , clean charts and its FREE!!

How can AB beat those features.

please give more valid reasons than saying "joke" and "horror movie".

While am atleast able to give valid reasons to explain NT and chartnexus as free alternative. you guys are not able to justify AB with even a SINGLE good thing about AB.

I am also sorry you guys paid money for AB.

AB's major strength, imo, is in the backtesting, system/indicator development area, and execution speed, reflecting the power of its language, AFL. If these type of characteristics are not of particular interest to you then most likely another program would probably be more to your liking. But you have to prioritize your needs in order to zero in on the best choice. (Note that answers to the questions that you asked are readily available in the Users Guide, etc.).
