:rofl::lol::clapping:

Anyway, today isn't NAV padding, hardly any global cues except the INR improving (even that looks like RBI action to me). So why the hell is it going up like there is no tomorrow ? The operators wouldn't be doing it just for skewing the weekly/monthly charts.

Maybe it's time to look at rajsumi's thread about jan closing.
U aint following global news today...Did you not hear about NIRP from BOJ ???

I did, not sure if it should be taken as good news - "Reviving deflationary mindset", "negative interest rates" etc. ought to count as bad news.

Quite a bad day for me from psychological perspective. Had no access to market in initial half an hour, then took a forced short in the fear of losing out, obviously losing 20 points. Took long at 7500, covered when market got stuck at 7512. Another forced short at 7550, again sitting on losses.

Way to go for being a professional trader :lol:

PS : For a past few days, planning to look for a part time job in the evening, probably coaching for CAT etc. Aim is to have a cash flow to cover living expenses and also something to divert mind away from the markets. What do seniors think about such a plan? It's a genuine query, any help will be appreciated.:thumb:

This fear comes when you dont make large profits when the trade goes in your favour...we book out too early so we are always on marginal profitability.....small profits/small losses....but if we have few large profits, we will not fear the terminal fluctuations when the trade comes...that is why traders MUST have some large profits trade in their pocket.

Da,

For Intraday perspective only , When we say large profits does it mean 3R or above ??Or 2 R is also sufficent.

Have similar query - What's definition for large profit for intra day. For swing trades, I can understand the concept - but intraday - I tend to book profits at pivots and either reenter or SOH.

So want some guidance on intraday - letting profits run
