I don't touch small cap stocks. But the best thing to do is take your best shot (fundamentals, not technicals) and throw 10 darts. You will be very prosperous if even 1 of them hits target. But the odds are never in your favor. This is mainly for small caps.

i remember reading about a person who used to buy a lot of stock below 20rs... more than 80 percent of stock went to zero but stock which survived did very well By the time he retired he had a portfolio of 20 crore..

I have 2 boxfiles full with such shares certificates, in physical form, which companies do not exist now....if I start a museum on investments, I will have lots of display material displaying my great stock picking abilities...

But most of them were bought because they were cheap....and they proved very expensive for me.
