Today i got a SMS from zerodha, stating BSE Fund Balance Rs.xxxx NetFund Balance Rs.xxxx , Qty Shares 0 (zero)

Can some explaing what this means. The fund balance Rs.xxxx is not the actual balance i have in my trading account

they have specified a date (as on 31 july'17). You can check and verify the balance on that date.

Hey friends, I guess many traders are receiving such msgs, even I got one

Also, Have received msgs from BSE with respect to balance kept with broker.Actually, I guess this has to do with a broker going insolvent.

Also, a friend sent me screenshot of a grp he is part of. Someone has an account with the above mentioned broker and now he is trapped

Pls save yourself from unknown brokers. Just for saving some brokerage, don't compromise with your capital.
