Think some data issues there,Satya.......price didn't breakout above the previous pivot in that bar,or so far.High of that bar=4439,Prev Pivot high=4458

No Sikandar that is not a Valid Pivot again you may not be using first 5 min bar as a separate bar but in my veiw pivot stands at days high 4458 and my chart is as follows

No NO price did not break out i was just trying to say to RK about if the 2 pm bar cross above 4458 then still a pivot crack by drawing an artificial bar in Paint

Shouldnt we call 12noon bar a valid pivot only after 2 PM !!!???

The time of your posts says that you are talking abt 1 PM bar tocomplete, if 2 PM bar would have crossed the days High, would we still have a 4458.80 as valid pivot!! ??? Am i erring somewhere?

RK,Pivot as of 1pm bar......once we get that bar,we have our new lower pivot high.

And yes,revert to long if the 2pm bar had crossed to new highs.

VPS, A small suggestion, do write down the rules with which you wish to paper trade, and also do historical analysis for a few months with those rules, preferably analyse an year, if not already done!!!! This exercise can be a big booster of confidence when actually trading!!!

As I have never taken such a move as a Pivot hence the query!!! I now understand!!! Just curious : Do you always take such move as a valid pivot!!! If yes, its simply fine, no problem at all.

Now another query:
Why should we not take the high of 3 PM bar as a valid pivot now!!! Its a valid a pivot as the previous one was at 1 PM!!! , so it seems to me. Please comment.

Hi Rk chart posted below bye which pivot we should go ... i have leraned from you if some important level is near by like LOD or HOD then one should go by that level same here i think in my veiw i should go by the Pivot 4458

again if we look at 3 pm Bar it dont look like a Pivot
