I think when we start trading we follow certain rules and over the period of time we improve these rules for ourself with the experience (Although Good judgement comes from bad experience and a lot of that comes from bad judgement:D)These are our set of rules derived from the original rules although the original rules are still there and we follow them religiously.

A careless word may kindle strife,
A cruel word may wreck a life,
A brutal word may smite and kill,
A gracious word may smooth the way,
A joyful word may light the day,
A timely word may lessen stress,
A loving word may heal and bless.:):)

for the purists the visible low of thursday is the pivot, but since a lot of visible pressure is being put on SAint (some by the markets too), he is trying to protect you... but lets understand we are , by questioning every move, making this method anticipatory rather than the original reactionary, imho

this method needs lot of practice to adapt & amend when we get the hang of it, till then the founder support is unquestionably the best , but once you follow the rhythm & get it with eyes closed, you will surely reach where Saint is, to edit the moves, till then lets practice what's preached... our pockets may get burned sometimes, but to learn & get the bigger moves its a necessary evil... (& I'm sure most of us have burned bigger pockets without even a system in the past), rewatch Saint's video, a part of it he said you enter reverse enter reverse, till you get the right direction... & this is that moment of time

Very well said Cheeku. Personally I never use bitter words even to a kid.

Dear Czar,
A good reply for some bitter posts. BTW I have not seen the video. Can you post the link or PM me?
Thanks

u know wht,
i had no intention of hurting u or whtever....u chose to write in a way which 1 cant understand..bcos here we are not communicating by voice..next time u want to write sumthing on a lighter note put sum "smilies" on..ths wht they are for.
abt tiny miny pivots...sorry still dont know wht they are...& u if u have sum special terms to identify sum special kind of pivots which other know by in a diff name, then its a diff story.

ill put on sum smilies for u..take the that suits u .
:)  :D
Not a lighter note,he meant each word he said........please try to look into what Satya or Prabhjeet was trying to indicate/point to.And trade accordingly.

What is a mini-pivot?Satya called it a tiny pivot..........Mr XYZ could call it a miniature pivot.....and Mrs ABC may call it a bonsai pivot.....What is important is:What does he mean by what he said?As said in a few posts back, there are some who feel that these miniature versions should be traded, and there are others who feel that the visually obvious ones only need to be traded.

Neither is wrong. Both are correct. Both have their advantages and disadvantages............If I have 60 lots of Nifty open I would want to raise the stops to a recent pivot, and if it's vertical, well,I would have to find that in the 30.But if I trade with 2 lots of Nifty,I guess,I'd go in for the visually obvious one.

So different personality types, different mindsets, different traders with differring amounts of capital would use different variations within the same method.

Do mini-pivots or whatever you want to call them exist?Sure. The guys who have been doing this have a great Eye and can see it.Am I going to define it?No way........I want you to see it,not logicalise it.....And when you see it,it's an a-ha moment....It jumps out from the charts and forces you to trade it.

Its in the Kolkatta meet thread , thanks to debb for pointing me to it...
I don't remember talking about this in Kolkatta though........am a horrible speaker on top of that.Thought I spoke only about the basics of pivots and a few gap plays and time frame trading.

Saint, Dont undermine your speech ability, just because some said on a lighter note about the Sachin Tendulkar relevance :D :)

& In part 1 of your video, between 18 to 20 mins & a bit in 25 mins to end...

please ignore this if you feel I sound out of place with no knowledge of what you guys are saying / doing...

I would like to say a few things, though I know I am no one to comment on this system, since you guys have been following it & perfecting it & I have not even traded it, but I have used swing many a times with my own adjustments, so here goes:

This System is best with larger time frames & is meant to only catch the bigger move, now if we see the market is in a classic range bound shake out mode & both bulls & bears are been shaken out. Using 30 mins only in special cases is right I believe as after every big move 30 mins gives many many false breaks which if you back test you will find... like I said this is for larger time frames & 60 mins is the least of the larger frames... & most certainly when the market is ready to make the bigger move it will shake you out in 30 mins..

also like in the case of Aban I'm sure Saint realised that its highly over sold thus he tighten his SL to capture the profit ...

sorry again if sounding like an out of place noob:cool:
Not at all......great stuff,my friend. And about ABAN,I managed to catch that huge move down, need to relook if the entry is in keeping with the rules of the method.

Will be posting the charts of JPA and ABAN tonight.......was supposed to do it now,but all these unnecssary distractions .....:)

I know one thing for sure though, without looking or retesting the charts,............if it moves below the low of Friday,I 'd just reverse and short.
