AGGRESSIVE ,my friend.........may have missed a pivot yesterday, but other than that....AGGRESSIVE.
You and I give the Purists here a Bad name if we call ourselves that......

LOL Saint. That darn pivot. It started all this talk today.
For now raising SAR on NF and ABAN as follows?
NF at 3967 less filter on account of two bar tool on 60 min.
ABAN at 2295 for the same reason.
Though in ABAN there is another point at 2310 on 30 min.
Amit.
And yes, there's another SAR for NF at 3994 on 30 min.

Both variations of this method are equally correct,it's one baby looked at closely and from afar---same baby----
Hope you are still in the Flow with IOC!

No body but the baby's dad could have said it better.
In my post above (2nd) late day today, I had pointed out two pivots in each of the trades, both a little distance apart.
Aggressive or purist, a sensible trader will take a closer look at the killer volatility that's prevailing and take a call:
In this market, do NF and ABAN need more space to exhaust sharp jittery moves so that we don't get thrown out too early?
Or is it that in these violent times I need to exit/reverse on the nearest valid pivot and take a call later? Remember, the discretionary trader has a chance of getting in again at the other pivot, should the market reverse.
Then again, a couple of days ago, I called two pivots on 30, both clear and stark as daylight, Saint affirmed both, and I think all here accepted both.
Here there were no obvious pivots on 60.
Then yesterday when this debate began, in my percetion...and in the perception of many others (and don't bother to push 'Thanks' button to confirm) while the 60 min pivot was rendered obscure and feeble by those sharp up-down moves, and there was absolutely none on 30, Saint belatedly called the 60. That was his perception. Lots of the team members scampered to cover positions...some confusion prevailed...people called out to one another for support. Some took it and some didn't. The way the Dow behaved, and then our market behaved this morning, the ones who didn't take that pivot were in a lot of bother. Later things evened out.
Then who was the aggressive trader a couple of days ago, and who suddenly went purist late yesterday?
Is the answer all that thick?
Would I bother to hunt for a pivot on 30 if a 60 is breathing down my neck?
Are aggressive and purist merely defined like this?
Please look up and read Saint's quote again...same baby.
Why, then why all the heat and sweat??
Look at yourselves.
Are you a quick witted, discerning trader?
Willing and ready to be flexible?
Willing to not get bogged down within words that in the end mean the same thing?
Willing to learn, learn, and relearn?
Ready to feel no heart burn nor panic when on the wrong side?
Ready to take independent responsibility for your actions?
If yes, work on the weaknesses, listen sharp to Saint's softly spoken words and go make a kill and forget all this talk.
Please people, you guys are the keepers of this thread.
Satya...man4urheart...SmartTrade...Parabjeet...scores of others...yes, you guys are the keepers here, and able assistants to Saint.
I? I'm just a fellow come lately here, will make a rare comment here and there if need be, and be off making my killings, aggressive or purist, but most darn certain of my decision.
So clean your heads and come over tomorrow to your stations.
There's much work to be done.
Take care guys.
Amit.
