Re: Questions from juniors on"Going with 60minute flow"

tanewbe,

Thanks for the pains you took in displaying charts to clarify my doubts. JPA- YOU say enter long at 123.7. This pivot is at 12noon. Does one have wait so long for a pivot to form and enter in the direction of the trend?

I use 10min chart only. here too I see a PH at 123.7 at 11.50 AM only. Is it right. Both pivots 5min &10 min chart don't stand out.

I didnot enter because Saint said-- "The moves in the NF are different from JPA.....in JPA,I would tell you, only the visual pivots that are obviously staring at you."

What rule did you follow for NF entry?

Thanks again

vps

VPS,

Different rules for different time frames, different strategies..........that is the 60min Flow, you are talking intraday,..........that is the 60min timeframe, you are talking abt the 10min timeframe,...........that is a Flow Trade, long reversal to shorts, you are talking abt an intraday unidirectional move.:)

Where Tanewbie marked is the pivot entry on both 5min and 10min charts.

POA for the day!

Gap up opening in our direction... Purist nothing to do during the opening hour!
Aggressive 60 min traders... massive gap up in the direction after yesterdays vertical up move... Revert to short 1st bar low -20 points... revert back to longs if HOD +15 taken ... or a PH formed and then taken off! Which ever happens earlier!

This msg is not to create confusion but is open to discussion... better if corrected

Regarding Gap opening in the direction of trade there was no separate rule specified by saint for aggressive. I think it is same for both. wait for new PL for long /PH for short to be formed. But add at 5 min bar high +7

Sorry..disagree with you on the Aggressive traders bit...

So called 'aggressive' and 'purists'...both hold to their longs, even if the low of 1st 5 min bar is crossed. We will wait for a pivot low to form and then decide accordingly....but otherwise...we keep holding to our longs with a stop of 3978.
On a gap up...its clear....add at +7.

How can someone post replies to all the posts, give words of wisdom, trades, post charts, successfully runs number of threads, duly perform duty of moderator, make strategy of trades, teaches the same, remain cool ALL THIS AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!
If that is a question, answer is very simple "That's because he is SAINT"

But I am yet to find another one like him though.... :) :D

Nopes! Just read few pages back!
What you are saying is correct but now a new thing called aggressive and pure trader have been coined!

Just read few pages back to clear confusion...

Good Day of trading!

Couldn't agree with you more......great going,Komal.

And nickispain, like a few posts that you had posted some time back.......sincerely hoping you continue sharing some good stuff with all of us.

I never really got down to answering your query about position sizing, and why not add lesser quantities as we add......not wrong, but wanted the focus to be on the risk percentage range and not about the actual size of lots.

Had answered some stuff to Rakesh yesterday(but the way today panned out, looking like about 20 pages ago)regarding this matter......
