Yah...We takes a small coffee break after each exits...
Think coffee break will add a refreshment to the flow.

Think SAINT sir will kick me out for building DAMs against THE GREAT FLOW.

Just joking...

But thank you vvvv,
Hari.
ur trendlines are drawn on past data which includes fitting it the way u want.also u havent specified how many pivos to connect to the lines. i can draw sum more lines & ask u why u havent considered those.
which brings the things called "IFS" & "BUTS".
thts sumthing which will lead to more loosing trades.. a system has to specify clearly entries & exits..ur trendline addition doesnt do so.remember an upward trendline crack doesnt turn the stock in a downtrend motion.
i find this trendline stuff very speculative as i find fibonacci & so many other famous indicators...there are too many ifs & buts...byt tht time the stock has already run away.

Hello Hari

Nice effort.

Before you can backtest with data, you need to document clear rules for drawing the trend line, need to define which pivots to use, for e.g. the ones formed before the breakout or only those formed after the trade is initiated??? Also what do you call a break, a price crossing the TL or a close below/above it???

I request you to start a new thread where this new tweak can be discussed.

Its good to see new spin offs from the flow method. We already have 5 mins / 60 Mins method/thread by MJ.

Meanwhile we wait for SAINT Sir to post rules/differences about Pure and Agressive modes of the Flow Method ...

Quite an interesting weekend ahead ...

Thanks

niftychance,

Thank you for the guidance. The idea just went to my brain this evening while we are trading here. So its system which is not even traded for a live day. So all rules and so need to be defined first.

Due to my personal issues I may not be live to trade for some period so, cann't track only past data.

As you said I will start a new thread regarding this if you all allow after passing some "long" days.

Regards,
Hari.

vvvv,

Not to fight. Please read the above reply to niftychance.

Thank you for your comments,

Hari,

Think what I would like to say is said in part by Nifty Chance and VVVV........

Trendline trading is fraught with dangers, the way I see it,but that's what a certain group had said about Pivot Trading...............So,not about to put anything down.If some thing works for you, then great.......but make sure you have a strategy in place.

Good Luck and all the best!

Saint

ps:Carry on the discussion in a separate thread please........thanks!

Thank you for your comments,

im not here to fight.just stated my point..gud for u if u start a seperate thread & do live trades with it..im always open to new things...i think the master of trendline trading in traderji is satyajit....he has made up a seperate system of his own..i wud request u to read his stuff & combine it with saints system.if u can combine the best of both the worlds & cum out with sumthin of ur own ,,,itll be gr8...but pls ensure u have specific laid down rules for entries & exits.
looking forward to ur system

lol :D

Not at all.......feel free to come over and discuss the Flow when you find the time.Meanwhile work on this new thread putting this and Trendlines together.

All the best!
Saint

me 2........as that 30 min pivot is clear........but not strong.........soo more chances of getting whipsawed...........

the beauty of flow lies within 60 mins trades................. :)

regards

neeraj :)
Yes,Neeraj......the beauty of Flow lies in the 60.Now you have to define what type of pivot it is that you will take and which you will ignore.

The Aggressive Flow Trader trades all the pivots there is.......the Pure Flow Trader trades only that which is visually obvious after zooming out the charts. It is not about the 30 and the 60,it's about the type of pivots that each trades....
