NSe data: open 2609, H 2614, Low 2585 (opening 5min bar)
My opinion is divided on applying gap rule as it has not fulfilled having 2-3 days of down leg before this large gap. Since i can't decide, i am putting half my short NF position according to gap rule.

According to the new rules for gaps courtesy Rakesh, we should use stops above first 5 min. bar with a wider filter as the gap is in our direction.

1ST 5 min high at 2622, add filter as per your preference , add to shorts below 2580 plus filter

Prabh, Apart from Rakesh's rule which to my mind are ok but still awaiting Saint's endorsement to them as this is his method -- the gap today also follows classic Saint's thoughts in NF. Big fall yesterday going towards exhaustion - big gap today in the same direction. Fall arrested and now moving side ways -- now we have to wait for sideways consolidation breakout in either direction. But in the morning I would have played the gap rule of going long over 5 min bar hi + room.

My way of thinking

What now looks as a sideway move might be a cosolidation before big breakdown and what you are seeing as Exhaustion gap might be a Starting gap or whatever they say.

I have backtested it myself that when we have a Gap in our direction, we can apply a stop above 1st 5min + filter double the normal size gives good results.

Those intrested can check for themselves
