yes satya ur 100% TRUE we should only follow holy pivots ,not confused inner mind.

For last sideways movement in 60 min the bar highs were 3008,10,04,08,10,05,3010 (7 bars) .so we made a mistake for going short without atleast a 15 point above those 7 bars.
But in 30 min we had a pivot like formation.we have done the right thing of shorting.
Whipsaws will happen no way of clearing it ,i think so.But we should always be vigilant when a WRB is formed.even today u can see some sideway moves forming after a WRB yesterday.

Hi,

RIL is close to its important PH (look at the chart) of 1280. Its also forming ascending triangle. If it breaks thru convincingly, it has some ways to move up further. I think NF will need support from RIL to make any significant move.

Hi Satya I am here. In fact no need to see so many things, only pivots should be seen and 60 min flow rules applied. If you have free time and some money then open a few more positions in stock futures in 60 flow method that should keep you busy.

But generally I can say that NIFTY spot is made up of 50 shares and out these heaviest weight age is of RIL and others are Bharti, ONGC, NTPC, ITC etc. I keep an eye on these just out of habit (old) to see where Nifty spot is heading. Out of these RIL is so overwhelmingly heavy (bane of our stock market as we do not have any company to really give RIL any competition on market cap, Indian stock market has still to mature that way and lots of scope is there for growth in coming years -- good for us) that it alone can decide the direction of NS.

Anyway now I see only pivots and play as per the rules strictly and am happy with the results. Many thanks to Saint who showed us the way.

Satya I would nt have taken the short trade had I been trading Nifty, it doesnt pass my RSI signal Filter, have a look

The areas marked in circle are Valid Pivots for me atleast

Prabh,

You are right. Even my experiment with EMA crossover didnt qualify the short (which resulted in the last whipsaw). But these methods will give a lag (which is equivalent to pure way of earlier thinking) and will lead to later entry and exit. This will cause much heartburn at a later stage of a particular trade when you have many adds and are carrying many lots.

As time progresses, I think, we have to be sharper in our approach and ST & Rakesh have already reached that level. They have gone beyond only pivot approach and are seeing the price action much more closely with Pivots as master template. Hope I am able to convey the idea.

Bee I am not sure if faster action will guarantee more profits every time, if that was the case, the people trading Daily or weekly Pivots would be earning lots lesser profits in comparison to us but thats essentially not the case.

I have tried very hard to understand these much aggressive pivots but I cannot find merit over my slower method, I turn to 2 bar or 30 min pivot stoploss when moves starts getting really vertical otherwise I am ok with giving small losses in form of my initial stoploss to earn larger profits.

Though thats my view, many including even Saint Sir dont agree, thats fine
