Trades In NIfty50 this Week.

It is a Flat week loss=Gain. If we have visually seen the pivots like Saint we could have avoided the Shorting in mid week & our profit would have been atleast 150 points. No problem we can expect next week some crackers up or down.

saint sir...can u please post ur views about the short trade ...............

personally i also felt dat the reaction after d sideways movement breakdown was not worth taking d short......coz normally after a pivot is cracked...we see a good breakdown or breakout.......

+ a hammer was formed immidiately after d breakdown.....

bottoming tails.......

need u here sir :)

Thanks
No i m not trying to prove this correct or incorrect but wanted to learn it as have read a book where auther wanted to filter out pivots by stochastic ... but cud not understand that ......
hope will learn from you more

Satya
I did not mean that for you Satya, just wanted to avoid long discussions about why we should follow conservative or aggressive methods.

Though I am completely open to helpful discussions

Satya if you still have any difficulty regarding RSI indicator, I can help you

Just to add one more thing Neeraj - on much thoughts, it seems it could be taken as a valid visual pivot low, as it actually acted a Support line too so it was a a) congestion or side movement plus b) strong support of couple of consecutive lows... perhapses RSI(3) would have saved but it's "bad luck" or "cost of production".....let's see what's Saint Sir's view on this...

Re: Live discussion Saint's - 60 minute flow

Hi Friends,

I am posting my first ABAN trade from 1 Jan to 2nd jan '09 based on spot ABAN. I did not have ABAN fut data and was trading by phone.

[/IMG]

1) based on 2bar SL, 10am bar of 29 dec was SAR to go long.
2) 30 Dec 10 am bar did not give proper data during opening time, so wasn't sure of SAR having been triggered. So no trade. This high became new SAR to go long.
3) High of 11 am bar on 31 Dec becomes SAR to go long.
4) Long during 11 am bar of 1 Jan with SAR at 3 pm bar of 31 Dec.
5) Add_1 above 12 bar of 1 jan, SAR shifted to 11 am bar low (too aggressive, was that justified. I could not really justify it after the fact).
6) 2pm bar was WRB, 3 pm bar formed Inside bar. Add_2 above 2pm bar high. SAR shifted to 13:00 bar low.
7) 10 am bar on 2-jan was WRB. 11:00 bar was Inside bar, red. Add_3 above high of 10am bar. SAR shifted to 11am bar low after Add_3 triggered.
8) 13:00 bar formed topping tail. SAR shifted to low of 12:00 bar (was this justified?)
9) Long closed during 15:00 bar of 2 jan. Did not go short.

I have expressed my doubts at two of the steps. Post facto, I could not justify for these two whatever I did while real time trade. Kindly suggest mistakes which i might have made during the above complete trade.
Thanks
vin
