Re: Saint's Intraday Miniflow - live discussion

Why no one is talking about adds,Is it because of fatigue 750 -850 range ?
raju.
just one add triggered at 12.30 high + add fil ...but market is not making rapid strides & we are lowering our stop ...so decided to avoid it ...

btw bringing stop at 1.30 bar low by 4 bar rule...

yes raju vineet is right so r u....
i didnt consider the filter size ...the diff between pivot is too low for even the small filter...so that s right....12.30 pivot crack by 2.00 bar high could be enough for triggering long....
cheers vineet....

Nothing to write about todays day, except that on personal front I will have to remember not to ever repeat a most silly mistake I made ...

Reacted to news  and impulsively executed an order :(
The cost was just a few points but need to be on guard against such indicipline ...

Thanks

Re: Intraday Miniflow Trades for Today: Saint's Method

Today is generally a slow & low activity day but 2 things happen which is very important to understand for newbee..

1.suppose somebody is using moving filter bigger then 16 means his/her trade doesn't trigger at 10.30 bar.. then a pivot high is made at 11.00 bar so now we prepare ourself to go long at pivot high +small filter .the price crosses the pivot high but couldn't cross the filter & it made another pivot high at 12.30 bar .now we shift our entry at new pivot +small filter

the point to note is that we move our filter from pivot to pivot not from bar to bar & we didn't shift our filter untill a clear pivot is not made.

2.the same thing happen with fixing stop loss too.first we fix our stop loss at 11.30 low but then have to lower it to 13.00 bar low due to same logic..

this explanation is just for some members who may not fully aware with shifting filter from pivot to pivot ...

hope i am able to express the rule correctly...

Re: Intraday Miniflow Trades for Today: Saint's Method

Vineet,

I think you are wrong here. I do not trade 30 min miniflow (due to personal reasons) but follow the development of this method. The entry in 30 min has to be bar by bar with moving filter and not by pivot by pivot. Pivot by pivot is in pure flow method of 60 minutes where we have a basic premise that prices move in pivots in a trend and once a pivot is broken then trend is broken,we reverse. So pivots assume a major importance. Plus we have infinite time at our disposal for the pivot to form as we will always be in the flow.

In 30 minutes, it is basically take your profits and run. Time is very limited. So entry as per the bar by bar rule or 15 min TF pivot break helps to get in fast and out fast with our money as soon as target is realised. Pivots are a broad template in this method but have been tweaked to take into consideration time constraint. Now the reversal has to be by way of pivot break as that is one of the surest ways of knowing that the prices have reversed. So we put our stop losses pivot by pivot and not bar by bar.

Hope I am correct.

Request to people putting up coloured charts:). Kindly use blank, white or green for bullish candles and red or black for bearish candles. It is easier to the eye and easy to understand. Just a suggestion.:)
Thanks
