well amit , at 11.30.01 if high of 11 bar is not taken .you have pivotal high technically but how low another bar is gone or you are satisfied with pivot making movement is, certainly depend upon you ..if you feel more sure with mov fil at that time ..you can do that

MFs are defunct after a pivot has formed. That is clear.

In addtion, Mfs are not used in Move 2 as well? Is that so? Please confirm.

I mean, we use MFs to catch a serious moves (concept of volatility breakout). So, I am caught aback.

yes amit..MF are not used in move 2 ...

see it is not as simple as it looks ..means move 1 should be clear ..it shouln't be sideway move but still not entry given by market ..& suddenly market reverse ..we willl catch it as early as possible ..

hope it is more clear to you now ..try to post chart EOD

about to get a pivot low at 12.00 bar low too..

very right amit & these are stop in themself if other triggeres

means if long trigger stop at 2660-7
if short trigger stop at 2678+7

sar would be vice versa of pivots high and low. ...dont bother abt those 1,2 pts diff...go with pivots sar

I mean, for move 2 we do not move the 7 point filter? Cuz even in Move 2 there could be "limp" moves that need weeding out?

Suggestion: Go through some of the charts posted over the last 2 months on the other EOD thread. You will get a better idea.

the 14 & 7 are diff for everyone here means MF range nearly between 14 & 20...SF ranges in 7 to 10..depends upon individual prefence & backtesting....

about mov SF in move 2..yes thats too depend upon you ..if you are not comfortable there or bar is too small to your liking ..you can move it but better do backtest this ..
