Tried. Not working. Moreover, my first 5 min bar shows the timestamp of 9.59 although I have selected in Pref->Intraday->time of last tick inside bar. Logically my last tick inside the first 5 min bar should be of 10.00.

If this gets solved, then entire problem solved.

If your amibroker is taking care of it properly could you pls attach your C:\Program Files\AmiBroker\broker.prefs here. Tks.

here are my settings
Database -- Intraday settings
start time 9:55
end time 15:30

tools -- prefrences --
there is a check box which says something like this Align minute bar etc etc
uncheck it.

LONG in NF @11:00am bar after 10:30am + SF as a second move of the day !

Did we bent the rules a little this time?

I mean, each time I am to enter above such an indecisive bar should I stall my entry or is this case special in some way? Pls explain.

With big upper tail on 1st 5 min bar the second bar (1030 bar) went just 5-6 points lower and it closed indecisively (We want our entry to trigger for strong movement only). Had this second bar closed bearish then we would have considered it as move 1 of the day.

Saint sir given us the basic rules of the flow, we should personalise it to our personality, provided proper MM & stop/sar are there...aggressive or not depends on the individual...

2659.35 (Pivot High in 20 & 30 MTF)
2629.50 (Pivot Low in 20 & 30 MTF)
2640.75 (Pivot Low in 15 & 20 MTF need to 5 more min to get confirmation in 30 MTF)

I am using 14 and 7 as filters some times in week trends uses 20 & 10 as filters in NIFTY I think you can first consider these as filter for mini nifty then may modify suitable to match you.

Hmm.. makes good sense. The second bar was barely bearish. So probably does not qualify to be called Move 1. Tks.

In addition, the 11.00 bar closed well above the 10.30 bar. So that is actually our move 1 then. (Its a different story that 10.30 bar high + 14 got triggered).

ok try this out ppl...
intraday timings : 9.55 to 3.30 or 15.30
then go to tools->preference-> intraday tab-> align min bar : dosent matter check or uncheck -> but pls check radio button : End time of interval
click ok ok...
it will show first bar as 9.59.59 ...still i sec delay....
