Had a feeling that I left too much on the table. Was there a way to cover our short position earlier than at 3881 we did on 2 bars method on 30 ?

Extended move of 13 down bars on the 30.......and 18 on the 20min.That last bar down was negated in itself forming a bottoming tail on the 20.Take profits off the moment that high is taken out.Get out all and reverse at 3860 +room.(60min)

Think many will not understand the above........tired out and need some rest.

Shall explain in detail tomorrow.

Posting todays trades on the NF 30 min chart. Last trade was profit booked on 2/3 posn at 3875+7=3882 (on 2 bars method )

Average points gained today 64 on initial posn.

Dada, As per PM u added here...can you confirm whethe or not it was a right move!! As suggested tried to study charts posted by Saint, but could not locate such situation!!! In case I request you to explain in plain words the reason for your ADD, how would you do it!!!

Booked 2 lots out of 6 at 3801.20 could not resist!!! Short from 3954.80 (3 lots) + add 3 at 3944.80

Exited all at 3845 (Balance 4 out of 6 )at 3845.20 The 30 minutes bar at 3 PM is an almost copy book reversal bar!!! Shall not go Long here though, Exit at high + room+ some xtra room)

Dada, What do u mean by copy book reversal bar??? Why did you not reverse here?

Asking too many things , do take your time to reply!!!

I have addressed this post to rkk, but friends I shall be happy if anyone can explain the rationale behind the add at 3944.80 and also copy book reversal at 3 PM!!!

To answer your question,that would have been better in retrospect

Basically,it's like this.....Bar 1,Bar 2 higher lows than Bar1,Bar3 higher lows than Bar 2............Once Bar 3 overtakes the high of Bar 2,your new stop is the low of Bar 1.

Once Bar 4 overtakes the high of Bar 3,your new stop would be the low of Bar2.

So on so forth......therefore in that diagram,the stop is where the red arrow is.

Must it be always 2 bars,can't it be some other way of trailing........Sure you can.Do whatever it takes to keep yourself in the trade as long as possible and yet get you out at key points.....,at least most of the time.

This works for me,the simpleton........But there are "advanced" stuff out there that can be tried out as well.Probably with better results.Probably not.
Upto your comfort levels.Finally your call to take.

No Saint, I failed here yesterday.Wanted to add but could not get a good point(pivot low on 30 preferably) to add !!! So was riding the 2/3 of original posn only.

Though was in doubt and was waiting for your return to explain things... Now is explained...

Hi VP,

Nope on completion......the moment Bar 4 forms taking out the high of Bar 3,move stops to the low of Bar 2.But for this you need higher high higher low bars making a vertical move.........or else stops stay where they are till you get yourslf a pivot.
