Re: Saint's Intraday Miniflow - live discussion

Thanks Hemant for your precise reply. IMHO, if these bar would have been green, then it would be appropriate to place SAR there. Nothing to offend you.....Just my opinion. ST Sir / Vineet please confirm.

Correct stop was on 2 bars rule at 13:00 bar H +f

thanks ST, i will do correct my mistake.
ST DA, Though i know that when 5th bar(14:00 bar) crossed the low of the 4th bar(13:30 bar)
then acc to 2 or 4 bar rule SAR should be 3rd bar (13:00 bar) H+sf but i want to know that after completion
of 5th bar(14:00 bar) in 6th(14:30 bar) and 7th bar(15:00 bar) should SAR be 13:00 bar H+sf ? how please explain.
at that time here i was confused.

Hemant,

Successive lower lows were made till 2:00 bar...and we moved our stop down to 1:00 bar H....in 2:30,3:00 and 3:30 bars the successive lower lows discontinued and we kept stop to 1:00 bar high...if the lower lows had continued,we would have continued lowering our stop. Stop to be lowered till lower lows are made...later on it is kept at the last stop level and not trailed down further....

no jatayoo ji ,

we will not change filter based on one failed trade..if we use this big filter it may effect our R:R..

we used to backtest every month & acc to me current filter works fine..

failure are part of every trading system but one thing is that loss will always be on our initial position...

Yes Vineet
I agree fully.:clapping:

"Thanks Saint Sir
Thanks Vineet
The concept and the error made by me is clear now.
I just want to share a thaught with you after thinking over the matter during the night. Sorry, if it wrong once again. But, perhaps this question may come up again.
1) On a 'gap up' day do not go short untill the 'gap' is filled and broken by the 'sf'.The 'gap' itself is a pretty good filter.
2) On a 'gap down' day do not go long until the gap is filled and broken by the 'sf'.
Yesterday, was a gap up day. Most of the charts seen by me have the same frustrating pattern with a little variation here or their.
For the 'NF' i switched the TF to the 60 min and have kept the position open which i intend to manage today on the same TF. "

Re: Saint's Intraday Miniflow - live discussion

& with all this every member here including saint thinking that i said to you that there is no rule to ambush ..

here am quoting my post to you when you asked " how you trade ambush "

my answer is :

"hi amit,

there is nothing special in ambush trades ..simple trades on 5 min clear pivots..what other things i use is

1.previous days support\resistance..

2.channels upward\downward

3.trendlines..todays or from yesderdays charts

as the stop is nearby, we can increase the lots too..

normally i try to took off when price near known resistance..R\R i like is 1:1....

i doesn't like add there....its just attack & run

stop is not always SAR ..." unquote

now tell me how you get impression that there is no rule to ambush..

very disappointing

vineet
Dear Vineet
Thanks for the post. The method is quite clear to all i think. It is the method i left before i got commited to mini flow.
Just do not overdo it.
Take a position on the retest of a level in either direction is a strategy that has a high percentage of success.:clapping::clapping:

Mini had a wrong first tick today. 3675.1 Next was 3700. Some people might have discarded the wrong first tick.
Dear Flock
What is a wrong tick???
How does one use it ?
Pl let me know about as it is a gap in my information stored in my " GREY MATTER"
