Hakija: A free NSE end of day data downloader

Hi Sahil,
Thx a lot for this excellent tool.

Getting a small issue.I m trying to upload yesterdays bhacopy using the tool.

The download is successful.But whenever i m trying to get it to metastock format using "downloader" it creates a seperate file and not updating in the existing folder.

Can u pl help.??

Hi Jovial,
Glad that you found Hakija to be useful!

Seems like you have a directory mismatch problem.

Try going through the following:
http://hakija.posterous.com/importing-hakija-data-into-metastock
It might be of some help. Else post back with the directory structure of your current data.
Difficult to assess much from the given info.

Hi Nasir,

It is working fine at my system.
Does it fail for other older date ranges as well?
Are you getting this problem just for past 2-3 days?

Just make sure that you are not behind any kind of proxy, as there is currently no support of it.
You can also try running it from a different directory/drive, just as a wild try.
I can upload the data I downloaded in the meanwhile if you want.

I am using Metastock 10.0. When i convert the EOD Data to Metastock format using downloader ,all my stocks are being stored in different alphabetical Folder.
For Eg:- Infosys in I Folder.

My difficulty is when i try to scan all stock using a explorer ,i have to go to individual folder one by one .
Hope u understood my problem.Can u pl suggest way forward.

I understand your problem. However, you would be much better off asking this to other TraderJi members who are MetaStock experts.

those data folder of metastock which match getbhavcpy will match hakija.there is a metastock historical data(nse eod) uploaded by some one in this forum(may be sr115, i forget that id). he has done a wonderfull job.
