How to import "Live Feeds" to F Charts through excel.

Hi all,

This is a minor but ESSENTIAL update to the Live Feeds posted earlier.

In earlier version, the system date coming into picture and the XL Sheet was behaving differently on different machines based on the system International settings.

Please delete the earlier Live Data XL sheet and download and the updated version posted now.

Also please ensure that the FC Live Data window is configured exactly as in attached png file.

Please post your observations both success and errors during market hours today itself, so that the same may be looked into immediately.

Also please read my yesterday's post in this thread before posting any observation.

afl (Amibroker Formula Language) will work with AB only.

FC has it's own language syntax, though not as popular as afl, and is used in the pro version. I am not familiar with this, though.

If you have tried the "Live Feeds", please post your observations.

Thanks for the feedback.

About adding futures, or even anything else , it is possible. What we need is a link that refreshes on demand always containing the same items as stocks / indexes / futures etc., and which has a column that can be said to be price. If there is a volume like column, that also will be accepted and delivered for charting.

If you provide the link, I also will try, but I am not familiar with FnO.

Dear sgpal and others,

As already informed, the next version of XL sheet is ready and working properly in my system with Vista and XL 2003. However, I would like to observe for some more days before posting. The new version fetches NSE indices and junior nifty stocks also in addition to nifty, while the earlier version was fetching only nifty stocks.

While some users could get intraday charts in FC, a few (like Ranjitsingh66, sony,hemalsutaria and LalithaVenkatesh) have still reported about "13 : type mismatch". I think that this error be addressed first before the next version.

It was Ranjit's sheet which was corrected and posted by me and he still gets the same error. I feel very bad about this.

Those who could see the charts without error may also post their experience for the benefit of others.

Those who still get errors may post their observations tomorrow during MARKET HOURS ITSELF and I will try to sort them out.

While reporting, please indicate :

1) your Operating system and the XL version.

2) How is the date and time shown in the XL sheet.

3) Date and time settings in the OS ( How are the date and time shown at the bottom right most corner of the Task bar.)

4) FCharts version number

5) Preferably a snapshot of the FC Live data setting window with the source selected as Excel.

But before anything, please read all the posts by me on this error.

While on the subject, this and any other contributions by me will be free and open source without any passwords. Users may use, make improvements and repost for the benefit of the community.

Hi Karthik,

Your FCharts version appears to be old; Current version being 1.5.96U. I am not sure if it poses any limitation. You may refer to the help file came along with FCharts to get more details configuring the live data settings.

You may also provide the complete information as sought out by me in an earlier post while reporting the mismatch error.

On my system, FC 1.5.96U and Vista and office 2003, It is fetching data and charting.

Thanks for your reply...by mistake i have mentioned the old version...i am having the same version of fcharts as mentioned by you (1.5.96U). My operating system is XP Professional Edition with Office 2003 (support pack 3 installed).

I have changed my date setting to YYYY-MM-DD format as suggested by you from regional setting. But still am getting the error.

The exact error is 13: TypeMismatch

Please help.
