Thanks for this thread. This is my first post on UMS. Below is the Nifty weekly chart.
1. Is this a valid UMS? I feel the BRL is steep and the risk/reward ratio is high.
2. Would you take this trade? If yes, why? If no, why not?
3. Should one wait till end of week on weekly chart to confirm the UMS trade? Can one take a call in the middle of the week?

Great Idea!

I've developed similar system suited for Nifty in Amibroker. Basically it is a trend following system that takes all its decision by itself.

Entry (short or long)
SL (Initial & Trail)
Scale-in & Scal-out / Pyramiding
Entry filters (VWAP & ADX)
Position sizing based upon risk profile & capital availability

I've backtested this system on 18 months data. System best works on 30 min timeframe (why? because I feel Nifty has 30-35 min trend cycles) and achieved 40% success ratio. As this is trend following system trade success ratio may seem less number but this system has generated 400% profit (in extremly conservative settings.. i.e. risking only 2% of initial capital & no ploughing back profits).

Do let me know if you need code or algo for this. Also I will be more than happy to discuss other system ideas with you. I'm software professional & if needed I can help you building peice of code required.

I've personally not traded this system. However I've few friends who traded this system for few months with accruacy (almost all signals gives you 5-10 min early warning).

Also again this was made with an assumption that system will take trade by itself. I understand that interactive brokers do provide facility to attach amibroker AFL and allow automated trading (never tried though).

Once this system in auto trade mode than back tested results are as good as actul results as we have remove two primary human emotions i.e. fear & greed. Once that is out of equation.

Going by TL funda, if it is not breached on higher side this could well give a chance to create fresh shorts in Silver.

Hi FT.... Just a note of caution... Silver is coming after forming Double/Triple Bottom..... So, atleast Short won't be based on UMS....

Hi FT,

Drew 2 Lines on your chart...just eyeballing it..... while drawing is not very precise but gives an idea as to where Silver is headed......had there been more space to the right you would have got an idea of the Price and its EPA as well...!!!
