RCVL - This is good stock to enter. I was looking for it to pull back a little more for entry. So, far no, just like the market. But, if it does pull back, I will strongly recommend this stock. About long term (if that means, U don't care what it does in the next 30 days), I will recommend this stock to enter. I am getting interested in new issues. Ofcourse, those have to be trending. I remember see some in my scan. I will look at it again.
I hold the same view for RCVL. Good call. Its a long term story. Great going vvonteru.

cheers,

Hi vv,
There is an update for fchart 1.5.95N available.
But no significant improvement from previous version.
Thanks for the earlier suggestions of stock chart reading, I am still reading the books.
Lot of guidlines in the "trading for living" too.
Thanks for suggesting these books.
Best regards
JN

--- Thanks for the update. JNTrade, can U lead Sumanth to the books online. Sumanth, reading charts require reading books and practice. This group will help too. When charts are displayed, compare Ur analysis of the chart to the analysis of the author. Question the author why he/she thinks the stock suggestion is good. Compare the notes.

Guys, any one can jump in to provide analysis on the lists for suggestions. Lets make this thread an exchange of information.

Market moved a little bit. Based on its action, it looks close to its pull back. Can never predict though. Again, we have an option to sit out and manage existing positions. If U want to trade, metals are still in pull back mode. Banks appear as pull back. If U want to enter any stocks, I have a list.

Previous day's entry on Hindustan Zinc still holds good. Adjust the entry point. I was look at some stocks which are cheap. Below Rs100. I got 1, attaching the chart. I advise caution when U buy cheap stocks. They are prone to manipulation. Why I like Litaka Pharamacy?
1. It has good volume, which will make manipulation hard.
2. It has a nice trend with a pull back.
3. It had a opening gap reversal today.

Others < 100:
ARO Granite
I.G.Petro Ordinary
Jhun Vanaspathi

I also like Maruthi, discussed previously. U can still enter it at the current price (964) with a stop at 930/940. The pull back was not much and the stock successfully tested previous trading range.

I suggest RCVL. Attaching the chart. Today, it tested 8 day EMA successfully and ended flat.

Disclaimer: I remember now and then. Please see whether it makes sense before U enter these stocks. I can be wrong in my selection. And entry price and stops can be adjusted to suit Ur confortability and money management plan.

Hi vv,sumanth

These books are available at firstandsecond.com,
search by the author name.
And for more information what books to read,
check http://www.traderji.com/trading-resources/
and in the begnning of this thread Vv himself has given excellent suggetions.

Eventhough I am a beginner to TA, will come and share what knowledge I have, whenever I can.

Read books and U can be very good in reading charts, along with Ur earlier experience in stock markets.

My best wishes!

Vv, can U suggest a combination of platform/browser which are affordable yet reliable and safe,
other than windows/Ie?

thanks and regards

Hi,
What should I do with the following stocks

JP Hydro (32)
Neyveli lig(75)
Prism cement (10) bought long back
BILT (75)
Ashok ley(20)
TV18(650)bought Long back
UTI Bank (45)

I have taken some profit in most of the stocks.
Should I continue in the above or come out and remain in cash and wait for a pull back?

Thanks for the advise in advance
Regards,
Nitin

Hi JN,

Would like to mention you here that I found Opera (browser) is better than IE as it has many good features and also seems to be faster. Mainly the "auto refresh" helps you in updating any site without going for refresh button (that too on time base like - every 5 seconds, 15 sec etc.) everytime you need. Of course some sites may not work properly. Still you can download and have this browser along with IE without any problem.
And I do not have any experience with any other platform other than Windows.
Opera available (free) at www.opera.com

Hi chachi,

Thank you very much for the suggestions.
I will check Opera.
If we can run these on a low cost and reliable platform like suse linux, mandriva linux or
any other completely free OS, along with modem and other necessary software, then we have a
good secure and stable platform for beginners at low cost!
If U can find any information please let me know.

Regards
JN
ps. Here are the linux sites www.novell.com/products/suselinux/pricing_us.html
www.mandrivalinux.com/
Like windows these are very easy to install.
