For all those facing problems with icici, u can try reliance money.. It may not be the fastest interface but what i can assure you is, I can provide you a personalized dealer, who could buy and sell for you when , you are not able to place a trade.. . Reliance money is worth their cheap price.. see many many complaints in other forums about reliance money! They fail during peak hours and much more!

IMHO all the big online trading sites fail on the big days

For the record, I have used idirect since their early days. Have applied for Reliancemoney just today. Simply sick of enriching icici. Expected them to reduce their rates but listening to customers is so unlike icici.

I have also tried 5paisa and even SHCIL some time back. SHCIL is absolutely pathetic to say the very least. As for 5paisa the staff is not that good and the system makes sure you have to contact them often! Charges are also on the higher side.

Reliance money has improved a lot but i feel that it is still not very suitable for day trading.

I use ICICIDirect as well and I am looking for an alternative. I am seriously looking at kotak securities. any comments on their service levels??

Also if I open an account with another brokerage what is the procedure to transfer my current holding from icici to the other brokerage.

if u r looking to transfer it may take few days the better option is to enter with cash. square of u r current position . and enter the kotak.\

i am not sure of its service not much heard of kotak

They must change their URL to www.icicidirectsucks.com....these guys are prompt enough to charge their heavy brokerage. Now are they gonna waive off / discount their brokerage fee for a day, cause of their mistakes ? If they couldn't handle number of requests at peak time, why can't they go for hardware/ software upgrade ? or restrict number of DP accounts ? why can't they go for stress/ load test for their servers(?) during holidays ? friendly advice to direct dot com people ...make this error page as a WELCOME page for your site...cause nowadays its a common scenario...
